I’m driving down the 405 to garden grove today, and I have my front windows all the way down, because the way my subs sound best is when the air pressure can escape threw the front windows. So I’m cruising with base all the way up, its medium-heavy traffic so we're all going 50-55, an unmarked highway patrol pulls up beside me…he gets on his intercom…”you have your windows down, I know you have front tint, that’s illegal...” I’m like…WTF?....I raise my windows to show I got nothing…after a moment of silence…he drives off…

haha

I'm glad I don't live in Cali...

seldom do they really care about window tint around here. unless it's stupidly dark.

My encounter is kinda funny too,

I was on my way to MA from TN and I missed my exit in Hartford CT. Well I figured that I would test my clutch out and after the light turned green I burned them toward the on ramp. After looking for cops around of course. I smoked them through 1st and chirped 2nd.

After I reached Highway speed I see a cop in my rearview. So I put my hazards on and pulled over. And wait there with my hands on the wheel. He asked me why my tires where spinning. I calmly replied with "cause I stepped on the gas to much"

He pauses for a second and asks for my license and reg. I hand him my license and grabbed my insurance form by mistake and hand them to him. He looks at them for like 30 seconds and is like what’s this? I replied with oh sorry that's my insurance form and hand him the registration. He just looks at all 3 papers and asks where I’m going. I told him Worcester and that I missed my turn. Then he looks at me and say's that "I don't need to be driving like that and to get the hell out my town I don't want to see you here again."

I almost wanted to laugh at him.

So I took my stuff said thanks and bounced before he changed his mind.

this is like my only time ever being let go. And it's about time.

Any time you get let off with a warning, it's a good day.

They can tell me I'm a crappy driver and my car is ugly, as long as they let me go. :)

I used to live in missouri (mizzura, for the natives), had just recently gotten my 240- first RWD in long time.I was heading for a left turn, and this jerk trying to turn left from a T (he had a stop, I didn't) was halfway into the intersection. I jabbed the brakes, double clutched the second, and gunned it fishtailing around and headed up the hill. Then I saw the cop, so I pulled right into the parking lot there and got ready for the ticket. Cop checked everything I could asking whose car and everything- thought I had stolen it. I just told him it was new, and I wasn't used to the rwd and clutch. Let me go with a warning. Ah, Missouri...Also once got pulled over late night for going 50 in 55, but in second gear. Just wanted to warn me about the noise so late. He actually said "We like to keep this a sleepy little town." then he spit to the side.I think I've been pulled over in this car about 5 times- only one ticket- when I was coasting down a hill...

Actually I had a funny encounter too, I got pulled over for my noise being too loud and gave me a ticket that said "Muffler modified to make loud noise" (LOL!!!) but I wasn't too worried since my friend is a mechanic and he would write me a receipt saying that I got it fixed and yada yada... and I'm on my way to go, I go up the same block that I got pulled over, goes to the left lane so that I can make a U-turn so that I can go home... but wait!!!? I take off after the u-turn and ANOTHER cop pulls me over about the exhaust LOL... they pull me over, ask me for my papers, and asks me do you know why I pulled you over? I said Yes sir, for my exhaust... is that correct? and the officer says "Well, if you know that your exhaust is illegal, why dont you do something aobut it." Then, I tell him that I just got a ticket for this 5 minutes ago. He then tells me, " Why dont you get it fixed then!?" so I say, "I just got this FIVE minutes ago.." then he realizes how stupid he was and tells me, that I gotta get out of here coz its late and tells me to go home... I tell him "I just made a U-turn so that i COULD go home but you pulled me over" then he had the nerve to say that I was going the wrong way when I corrected him again with the direction and he just started mumbling something about that I better leave and he went back to his car. The whole night I was driving at like 5k rpm all the way home lol...

Do you ever pass by civics or integras on the highway going like 70 in third gear? what's up with these guys, they're not even accelerating? they're just cruising at 5500rpm, that's efficient...

Maybe its so that they can mask out the noise from when they're suspension bottoms out from over-lowering.

It is illegal, it's insulting a police officer and if you approach the officer and you just shoot the bird at him he has every right to then assume a defensive posture, as in knock some sense into your head. It's the same as you gesturing a jerking off motion to some chick at work... it's sexual harassment even if it is just a gesture.

That looks like the cop who gave me my last ticket. Ran his hand down the side of my car as he was walking up. Was thinking about what would happened if i door-checked him out into the semis that were goign faster than I was.1st time I got pulled over was because my headlight was out. Except I have a loose wire or something and still haven't fixed been 2 yrs almost. Anywayz sometime my driver's headlight doesn't qork and I got pulled over for it. However, when the cop pulled me over I turned my lights off and when I turned it back on they both worked so he could check it. Cop:I pulled you over for an out headlightReally whic one? Cop:That one right there. Seems to be working fine to me.Cop: Puzzeled look on his face and says have a nice night.
