I've had a friend tell me that too. My thought is, if I get the 135i, I miss out on so many nice-to-have things, that the extra performance isn't a strong enough argument for me to want to get it...despite the fact it's priced just above trade-in value. The G37 is still at retail value and they won't come down. Guess I'll wait. :gotme

The G probably won't go down. Demand is always good for 2nd hand lux cars. BMWs have the repair cost reputation to lower demand.

Alright. I got them to come down an extra $500 and fix the cosmetic things that bugged me. It has new rotors, pads, and tires, they completed the 45k checkup, alignment, and other things. I have a parts/labor list of a little over $2k of stuff, so I felt comfortable with the final price. Had I been a jerk and/or waited a little longer, I may have got them to come down 500 more, especially since we just had our first snow of the season, but I was hoping to conclude this before thanksgiving in order to concentrate on my upcoming finals.

I won't have time to pick up the car before Friday, but I'll try to get some pics up this weekend.

Oh, and it looks like after being a forum member for ~10yrs I will own my first Nissan/Infiniti. I'm a real boy!

I'm still coming and I'll bring it if the weather is nice... As in no rain/snow. My friend is happy I got it, but she really wanted me to get the G37 IPL they had. She was even willing to lend me a few thousand to get it. Best ex girlfriend ever?

OOOhhhhh, the IPL. So many wants. Probably not worth the extra debt though.

Ya, I'm just having problems wrapping my head around some of the posts in this thread and the other one on the new Caddy.

The 90s cars were great, I had a '93 325is and a '96 Nissan 4x4. :)

I'm not really sure what happened after that. Read a few reports about car manufacturers rushing to appeal to women drivers, and after that it seems good driving cars became a thing of the past.

I just picked up a used BMW K1200RS motorcycle with 30k on the clock. 130HP, 6-speed, and can do 150MPH+ (on the autobahn). That's a good driving machine, and one that puts a smile on me every time.

I'm going to have to relinquish my Hardbody in a few years, and likely replace it with another small 4x4 ($19000+ Toyota). Not holding out hope for another BMW coupe, but threads like this give me some ideas of what to look for.

I have to assume from your post, sir, that you are in Europe. Us lowly Americans here in the states get BMWs made in Mexico, not Germany. I'm sure you can see the problem. :chuckle:

Not completely true. The old Z3 & Z4 used to be and the current X series are made a coupe of hours away from me over in Greer, SC. And with a few exceptions most of the M cars are/were from The Fatherland.

Weird, as many times as I've taken the tour in Zuffenhausen I've only been to Regensburg once.

That's news to me. I thought VW was the company that had most of their models made in Mexico (except for the high-end models or special editions).
