with all the speculation floating around about how fujita uses oil filters, which is not true at all... it uses dry filters just like aem... theyre very similar in many ways... and im almost for certain the power gains are the same as well... imo why pay the extra money for same product?

I have to say Fujita, and I say that because I believe it's more of a "complete" aftermarket piece. I have not seen the AEM in person, but from photos it's obvious that you must reuse parts from the stock air box setup. For instance you will reuse the little accordion looking plastic elbow between the throttle body and intake from the stock setup, and you will have to reuse the stock PCV setup as well ( which is a big ugly black plastic thing.) This is not so with the Fujita, you change everything out and it all comes in the box. Instead of reusing the accordion, you get a nice 4-ply silicone hose to replace it. As well they supply a silicone hose to replace the stock PCV system and there is a port on the Fujita to hook that up to.

Now as far as the performance advantage, I don't think that there is one to speak of. Either one will likely give you the same amount of power increase. The only differences to speak of are the fit and finish between the two. You will be happy with the power increase anyways.

I don't know I just started looking at aftermarket parts for my V about a month ago. At that time they were both available. I bet the guy at Versaspeed would certainly know.

The AEM intake does reuse the accordion piece that you refer to but I thought it made the installation easier.

As for the filter, Yes, fujita uses a dry filter. AEM's DRYflow filter has an efficiency rating of 99.52% "based on independent SAE J276 JUN93 FINE DUST Air Cleaner Test Code procedures". Fujita doesn't even state their filter's efficiency rating...maybe cause it's not very good.

I've looked at the Dynos from both companies and it appears that AEM wins with 1 extra torque.
