Hey guys im having a problem with my fuel pump. I recently had someone break into my car and only take some cheap tools i had but they tried to pull the ecu and ripped a few wires out. I went to start the car after fixing what i think were all the broken wires. The car turned on and the fuel pump turned on and the car ran. I turn the car off and try to do it again and the fuel pump wont kick on.

I checked the wiring to the pump everything is fine. The fuel pump will come on if it is hardwired but i dont want to do that. I checked the CAS and i get a signal from the plug to the ecu. I checked the MAF(Z32) and i get signal from there to the ecu. The car starts and runs sometimes but not most of the time because of the fuel pump problem. Im really stuck on what the problem could be. Its a S13 with a redtop in it with AEM EMS.Thanks

i do not have an alarm. I have checked the wires on the ecu about 10 times and i also had a friend double check a few times to see if i missed anything.

Have you checked for continuity?

Since they were tugging on the ECU, make sure that none of the wires up in the dash were ripped or broken. I woudl also double check your fuses and relays. If there's an exposed wire, it's possible that it's shorting a fuse out.

yes we checked the MAF, CAS, fuel pump, and the ecu for continuity. We also checked and replaced the fuses and relays.

Did you replace the fuse and relay because they were not working. If the fuse was fried, that means it shorted at some point, and you may not have fixed the short. Keep an eye on that fuse, and if it keep getting fried you still have the short. By the way, if someone tried to snag your ECU, they probably knew it was an SR, which means it could be someone you know.

check the pins going to the ECU to make sure whoever slamed and jamed your ecu didn't space out one of the pins... could just be a loose connection by the females pins going to the ecu. it only takes one strand of copper to provide continuity - something to keep in mind.
