Well I don't have a 300, but I'll try and help. Do you have pics? I searched for some new ones on Rockauto and amazon, although they don't show pics of the end of the plastic bit, I'm going to say that's the sleeve/seal from the injector to the intake manifold. With some injectors they will direct fuel toward the intake valves, so their orientation matters also. Did some get stuck in the intake manifold when you removed them? Again, pics would help. If you try and reinstall the injectors without them, bad things will happen. Vacuum leaks, fuel spraying into the engine compartment, loose injectors... you get the idea. You could try getting a set from a salvage yard or some new ones for around $50 a piece.

The little light grey thing on the end of the yellow injector? I hope it isn't critical, as one of them on my new set was damaged a bit, but I installed it anyhow, and they sure do come off easily. They might be there to protect ends during handling and shipment?

I was looking at pics of the "early" style. Seems to me that piece is supposed to be there for a reason. The yellow one has some sort of rubber seal that likely makes the connection between the injector body and the intake manifold. So unless that gray piece is some sort of spray shaping bit, I don't know. Look in the FSM, maybe there's a pic of the injector. Since no one was answering I was trying to give the OP some help.

You might want to delete your number, Teh intarwebz haz trolls bra. Glad you sorted out your injectors, you might be able to send the old ones in to be rebuilt for spares or for another engine build. Here's a thread on posting pics:

And I think photobucket has apps for android and iphone. Welcome to Nico.

The new style injectors DO need those caps to stop the lower o rings from pinching! i learned the hard way.

The caps on the end of the Injectors are insulators. They help protect the pintle/holes from any carbon/debris that might come that way. You can run without them, but have a higher chance on damaging the pintle. I ran them many years without on my 240sx, had zero effects, friend did the same. You can purchase just the cap itself, warm it up before the install so its a little more flexible, should slide right on.
