My head unit in my 93 Q45 isn't stock, but I believe the Bozo speakers are. When I go over bumps, the front right cuts in and out. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Would it most likely be the connection to the head unit, the speaker itself or exposed wire somewhere in between? Thanks in advance for any help.

More likely bad capicitors on the amplifier.... really, really common in this era of Bose amps. Rebuilds are available for $50 - $75, but you may want to just change over to something aftermarket since you're half way there anyway.

Thanks for the reply. The head unit's kind of a piece as well. Do you think it'd be hard to bypass the bozo amp and just go straight to a new head unit?

Will do, but do you think that since my Q has an aftermarket stereo in it right now, that the speaker amps have already been bypassed?

They may or may not be depending on whether the aftermarket head unit was installed using a harness and OEM amplifier adapter. Crutchfield sells them for about $40. So, check out the head unit installation to see if it includes this adapter.
