Just make sure you get the correct items....I was missing a pipe and none of the silicone couplers were sized correctly. Serves me right for buying something and not test fitting it for over a year. Correct silicone couplers will run me $100 or so ...although I got the kit for like $250 shipped.

There are a couple of ebay companies that are selling front mount intercoolers. One is a very appropriate "CA" size which is about half the size of SSAC. SSAC and a company that looks errily similar but is not XS Power also have FMICs. The size of these intercoolers are the equivalent to the same size that a 2JZ or RB26 would use and it creates pressure drop. But none the less your options are limited and thus you get what you pay for. -Gabe

yeah definately ssac. i thought i was buying an ssac one but ended up with this JDMsport one. the pipes are cheap but they work. and couplers arent that expensive if you are missing some. i know i had to buy some because i went blow through at first. 6 couplers were like 45 shipped and they were nice.

also something to watch out with the cheap pipes. i had a bov flange welded on. it was kind of cheap too. the weld didnt take right. it wasnt the welder trust me. he pressure tested it and it holds but its ugly.

Have you priced silicone hoses lately? Especially reducers and elbows?

For example:http://www.siliconeintakes.com...041cf

It adds up. Plus...Im using an S14 kit with an S13 hotpipe and S14 turbo with S14 outlet......and I didnt get the hotpipe to IC S13 pipe..so that's extra pipe and silicone transition there. If anyone knows where to purchase the S13 hotpipe to IC pipe alone....please let me know.

I haven't installed an fmic on my ca18 yet (other things I have to spend money on right now). however, I recalled seeing a thread about exactly this - so I searched a bit and dug it up zerothread?id=223356

Looks like all you need is the s14 sr20 fmic kit, and 2 extra couplers - one 3"-2.75" reducer, and one 2.5"-2.0" reducer... nothing major

Definately the way I will be going when I get my project moving again!
