Yes, the S14 kit is preferable to the S13 kit. The only thing is that it's got an opening for the recirculation valve that you won't use.

it fits a lot better iirc. i mean, i made my intercooler piping so i couldnt tell you from experience but i am a huge forum nerd. im not sure about the core dimensions in said "kit" but the piping fits a whole lot better.

edit: damn! you beat me on the jump!

thanks for the quick replies guys.. the reason i ask this because greddy has the new type m intercooler kit that cost i around $450 and in my opinion thats a whole lot better than paying $300 for a ssac front mount..

If your gonna go with the S14 ssac fmic kit, then you also need to pick up a couple of silcone reducers to make it work. A 3.00'' - 2.75" reducer for the coldside where the 90 degree elbow and intercooler mate up. And a 2.50" - 2.00" reducer for where the hotpipe mates up with the turbo outlet. Hope this helps. Been running mine for awhile now with no problems. I'm happy with it.

Their quality has improved over time. I've been running a SSAC bottom mount, equal length, T2 turbo mani for 2 years now w/o a problem.

Be weary, my SSAC s14 kit came missing the hotpipe to IC pipe AND none of the silicone couplers fit......all couplers were .25" too small. I've priced out proper couplers and reducers elsewhere and the are about $100 total. I may try to find some rubber hose instead to cut down on costs....by the time the rubber rots I'll be able to afford a brand name setup.
