i use all this stuff. (not mine)

at first i used a angle grinder. which kinda sucked so once i get the basic shape i used a jig saw which worked perfect.S13_love wrote:I have a feeling I might know the the answer to this...but...what exactly did you use to cut the dash?
i know its sexy. hell i thought about painting my rims gloss black too.tm1218 wrote:I have been thinking about doing the exact same thing forever! I too saw the Mugen NSX and was like "my 240 is going to look like that"

yea thats what broadfield told me too. so today i went to pick up some leather and it was $35 for a yard! so im gonna wait till my red suede comes and if i don't like it then use a %40 coupon on the leatherbenz88 wrote:Looks great, As for Adhesive. Dont use Super 77. Use the 3m Super 90. the 77 is just meant for low tac stuff and will come undone soon.
What'd you do it on? Smaller pieces it may be fine. But for Dashes and Headliners dont. Ive had a few come undone within months.omgshawn wrote:Weird, I used Super 77 a couple months ago for my suede and it's still holding fine. And it's sat in the sun/humidity for a while

The whole interior..dash, panels etc.benz88 wrote:What'd you do it on? Smaller pieces it may be fine. But for Dashes and Headliners dont. So i was like eff that and do it myself. I started with the door windows. First one went horrible, theres like dried watermarks between the tint and window. So ill have to redo that one. Second one came out good. I went with 35% for these. Nothing major, I have enough things to get pulled over for. The other week I got pulled over JUST for my smoked license place cover. Then I did the rear window. To do it good you have to lay the tint on the outside of the window and heat it with a heat gun so it takes the shape of the window. Then you peel back the tint and move it to the inside. All i had was a hair dryer which didnt work out so well. So i had a much harder time getting the bubbles out when it was inside. But, with a few hours of working the bubbles out it finally came out good. I still have to add another piece as one wasnt long enough. The rear window is 20%. Thats it for now

If you live in a city you should be fine but if you do a lot of driving out in the suburbs/country I would stay away from tinting the front windshield. Just get one of those reflective shade things to put on the windshield for when you leave the car in the sun.FolkertSX wrote:^im sure it is. im doing 50%. so honestly i don't think it'll be a problem.
i have excellent eyes. theyre very sensitive in the sun. especially with no sun visorszach-Ka wrote:I got pulled over for it once but most don't notice it. If you have any eye problems I wouldn't it inhibits your sight a bit at night.
yes me too. red suede is coming in the mail, unfortunately even if i like it, i have to order more in order to be able to finish.NismoS13Ks wrote:Great work so far. Cant wait to see more of the dash!
