i'm basically stuck with my project and wanted to know of any free mods you can do to a 240sx hatch. anything at all??

i don't have money and get pretty bored fast. so anything simple, hard, takes a long time, etc etc would be great!

also if this has been asked/said or whatever i'm sorry for posting again.

I don't know about free, but there is always relatively inexpensive. Such as new fluids, home made intake, etc.

Only free things I can think of are like stated already PSI, and possibly a good wash and wax.

-lit sleepy eyes-assuming your intake is the same, you can cut out the entire side where the resonator attached to, gives it a throaty tone at WOT and plus you'll end up with a larger surface for air to enter on the filter-wire your front side marker lights into your blinkers so they alternate like JDM cars-delete your EGR and AIV systems

thats like..the free **** you can do with misc bits of wire and what not..nothing crazy, but subtle

awwww

california love!

-get longer bolts and start stacking washers

BUT lit sleepies are retardedly easy bro, basically your placing a switch in the circuit to interrupt the headlight motors opening fully when the lights are turned on, there's an article in the tech section about it, very very easy

The longer bolts and washers raise the back of the hood up so that there is a small gap. iirc it's supposed to let hot air out of the engine bay.

If you're looking to reduce weight, you can do a backseat removal, and then search for other things to take out you don't want/need.

Other than that, just inspect every little nook/cranny of the car to see if you can find anything missing/broken? You might be surprised at what you find.

Idk, you can't do much of anything these days without money. Especially now.

yeah i can't really take out the rear seats. i have people that actually sit back there since i'm like the ONLY kid that has a car in my school. so of course when we go somewhere they jump in the back.

-Homemade CAI with clothes dryer ducting (put the K&N cone behind the black grill under the driver's side blinker)-Eliminate EGR, AIV, etc.-Eliminate the SCV and its butterflies in the intake manifold-Tighten throttle cable-Clean spark plugs with sandpaper (make sure there's no debris on them before putting them back in)-Advance ignition timing ~2 degrees-Gut your cat, resonator, silencer, etc.-Add 1-2 oz of acetone to every 10 gallons of gas (not free, but extremely cheap)-Eliminate clutch damper-The more water in your cooling system the better; in warm parts of the country of course (keep at least 15% coolant to lubricate and protect from boiling)-THE BEST FREE MOD: remove weight !!!

Gut your trunk and remover sound deadener, that will keep you busy for awhile.

The JDM turn signal thing was the easiest mod i did, and it works real good too.The Sleepy eyes was a good thing aswell, but i dont use it often.

You should remove your whole interior (trim panel, seats, carpet etc.) clean out your car, then put it pack together. That's a profitable mod, you clean it out and find lost change.

just cutting the brown wire wont do..theres something wrong then.

when you turn on your lights with your headlights "sleepied", they'll close and reopen automatically.

you have to interrupt that function with a switchhttp://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=200234

removing the rear seats doesn't do that much =x only takes off about maybe 5-10lbs total? well for me it did...removing sound deadner thing w/o dry ice sucks a lot...lolif you do remove ur rear seats and take off the sound deadner, should take a while and keep u busy
