if i get an s13 coupe with an sr and silvia front.. then drift it and need to replace stuff, wont it still cost hella paper?(silvia replacements)

i have a drift spec ae86 4age and i love it but its getting old and parts are harder to find. plus i want something more attractive and up to date...

i think a s13 coupe with an sr and silvia front(dual projector and halogen fogs) looks tight.. all black with polised meshies and coilovers..

but a kouki s14 with a sr.. imagine it cadillac pearl with a carbon fiber hood and gunmetal volk rims with polished lip...thats sexy too...

are the silvia projectors H.I.D.?

if theres less than 5000 kouki s14's in the u.s how many s13's are there?

so far 65% of people say to get the kouki..

IM IN FORT WAYNE INDIANA.. help a cali guy make friends... be my buddy

jinsoku, I have a set of silvia triple projectors with mounting brackets and a silvia hood I can throw in for a extra 400. I may be able to get you a a 93 base coupe for under $1000 with front sheet metal missing and no rust if its still available. email me at [email protected].

I'd go with kouki, but it is all in taste. I like driving a car that not everyone around me is driving. How many koukis in Kansas you think?

went throught pics and compared math on the s13 and kouki s14...

it looks like im going for an s13 coupe with sr...

i like the way the kouki looks..fast and sleek but i agree, theres just something about a s13 that says "drift me"..

yes guys the s14kouki is a little more nicer but i dont get that drift me feeling in it, its more like drag.. IMO

whe you break it down its simple.. im gonna drift it and parts will be needed.. the s13 is lighter and parts are more available. i could buy a s13 with sr and vlsd(maybe even a silvia front too)for the price of that kouki+manual swap not even including the sr....

ya'll could have it.... sending info to intrested peeps.. get at me...

hahahaha im one step closer to gettin it right...

Jeeze, hard choice... That kouki sounds really nice though, I wish I could pick it up for myself. $6500 is a heck of a deal, too. As much as I would like to see a Nico car go to another Nico member, I can't help but steer you toward the kouki. As you've probably already figured out, 240's are already rare here in Indiana, not to mention s14's, especially the kouki. And coming with rims, body kit, and hood, you'd be getting a lot more for your money with it. Do what you want, that's just my $.02. If you don't get it, someone here on Nico definately needs to snatch it up, we all know what a great deal it is.

i test drove the car yesterday...

has CAI (injen)strut barnice stiff suspension

the moonroof shade has some problems closing(not the glass, the shade) its off the tracks or something. still closes though..

nice body kit, nice paint scheme but it was done by macco(the guy runs his car sales business out of his macco office) some paint on the rims(easy cleanup)..

interior is cool but theres a quarter size hole on the driver side carpet(maybe in the metal too)..

interior lights look dim...

it has a rebuilt title cause it was in a fender bender and the air bags deployed, he totally fixed the car but the air bag light is still on...

i dont think the fuel gauge works(how much to fix?)

all in all it has great potential..

im gonna see if i could get a loan through my bank.. so i might change my mind AGAIN and get it...

heres a teaser pic, the rest are in herehttp://photobucket.com/albums/v365/ae86car/

can i add a z32 fuel pump, fuel filter, afm and 2.5 exhaust to the 116k ka24de without any worries? hp gains? loss in low end TQ?

I have done a few manual swaps on S13s. I have done a Z32 fuel pump install and afm. I have installed a few turbos on KAs. Email me if you have questions. I will be working on my projects this winter in my garage in Granger, IN.

thats one thing im worried about.. i dont care about the problems, as long as i know all of them..

i agree that it takes a pretty hard blow for the air bags to deploy. i looked at the frame(at night) and its straight.. im koo with it.. i might get it.. all depends on the bank...

im an ae86 owner, constant car trouble loves me...

If it has abs then it usually has a VLSD.

One reason that I would pick the S14 Kouki is that according to http://driftkat.com/Nissan240SXIndex.php they only made less than 5000 of them. So I see some collector potential in a decade or two. Also as far as S14's, the 97-98's were the best looking.

However, according to the same site there were only about 80,000 twin-cam S13's made, and about 130,000 single-cam S13's made. Compare that to other modern sports cars such as the Mustang, Integra, and even the New Beetle (made 750,000 so far), that isn't a large number either. I think the limited numbers of the S13 combined with its beauty as a driver's car will give it a sort of "semi-classic" car value in the future.
