Heh Holmes works at WacArnolds! lol. Yeah man, I'm jealous. My parents finally came around and are going to shell out a bit to help me buy my car (what? can I hear everyone saying finally?)

Dude you got a great deal, go for the suspension first then save the rest for a turbo kit+ the installation fee, an welcome to Nico

izzit a Hatchback? bey if it's a hatch I say throw in an SR cuz there's a 180 here slewing evo's left and right...mind you there's my boyz bro's integra that he says is almoss @ that level but I think he's lying...

wow.....you know i was planning on making a nice cunning reply here...but wow.....you let yourself have it......you know there's a wonderful peice of technology in cars, its called a steering wheel....amazing isn't it....a car that can go something other then a straight line......and guess what, even a stock 240 can make these "turns" at fairly high speeds, higher speeds then most of those cars that "beat built ka's"....so you are like what 12, 13 years old?

Good one. Yeah, they didn't have hatches in 1996, I thought Panther Racer would have known that

You are lucky, right now I am more saving up for just fixing a ~174k stock KA. I have a job interview in about 45 min at the school, so maybe I will get some cash myself. $15/hr part time programming job. Maybe I will get lucky.

You guys, he doesn't make much money.

What i would be most concerned about at this point is the state of the engine, a 96 w/ only 24k on the odometer has been sitting around for quite some time, a basic tune-up, cleaning out the throttle body, changing oil/ air filter/changing all the fluids/and checking the hoses is in order. Those are cheap things you can get started on right away. Mods are pointless if the car isn't up to par before you install them.

BTW, that's a true gem you have, take care of it. Remember that switching from a fwd car to a rwd car forces you to re-learn some things.

It's funny, I just posted on here the other day I found a black 96 240sx last week at a chrysler dealer with 61,000 miles on it. I found out last Saturday when I signed the paper work that the lady who owned it before me lived in florida and had just moved to Colorado(where I am). I guess one or two snow days and she traded it for a 4wd. I almost wish I could thank her for taking such good care of the car.

So anyways I just spent $700 on nokian rsi snow tires mounted and balanced on some new steel wheels. It came with some potenzas re910(sp) on the stock wheels that I will throw back on in the spring. Not very exciting but at least I can make it to work next time it snows.

Your pretty lucky man. My car when I was 16 was this very dangerous vw bug with electrical problems and barely any floor board. My friend had a vette so needless to say that is what we picked up girls in. I hate to give advice man because I know how it sounds but be very careful about drinking and driving. You can really screw up your life or someone elses with just one bad decision.

So anyways the car is black with some minor dents and dings. It has the 4 lug 15in wheels and have been told that means it is the standard model. I couldn't be happier though, electric everything (except antenna) and everything works.

I am going to get the 60,000 mile service done in a week or two and other then that I am going to wait. I actually talked to greg at brm this morning and it sounds like a pretty decent option to put on one of their pipes and hotshot header. It sounds like it would sufficently wake the car up but I know a turbo would be a blast.

So, does your car have any problems? Do you mind telling how much you paid? I paid $4700 by the way but traded in a jeep liberty and took a big one in the can. $3000 upside down. LAME!

I will post a picture once I figure out how to resize in photoshop.
