I know there are afew of you that have expressed an interest in CA manifolds and forged pistons recently in multiple threads, so I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread on it to get an idea of how many of you there are!

I know I'm interested in finding some forged pistons in the $500-600 range (with rings etc...) and the SS autochrome tubular manifold for $250ish. I've heard ryan (float_6969) express an interest in both of these as has jon (slw240sx) and there are quite afew interested in the manifold...

lets see a show of hands who's willing to buy what now... and I'll start emailing people. I've already emailed ssautochrome, and I'll be emailing different piston companies as soon as I have a better idea of how many people (CP, wiseco, JE, and that place ryan found)

Weisco finnally has a mold for them. They are making them for Race Engineering. Race engineering should have them in stock soon.

Its down near the bottom. 83mm and 83.5mm. PN's are

83mm - XTP-553P8383.5mm - XTP-553P835

who's down for wiseco 83mm (stock bore) forged pistons. I will be making phone calls this weekend and would like to know how many people I should say are interested. The SSautochrome manifold is up to over $350 last time I checked  and like I said earlier they aren't making any more for at least 30 days!

WHO WANTS PISTONS? I have no idea on price yet, but figure at least $600 total with rings :) If you have $600 (might be less) to spend RIGHT NOW let me know and we'll make it happen... I want these ASAP!:D

Thanks,Sean

Thanks Alan! I'll help you post the exact pic

I'll be getting one made for my (3) 240s that will sport CA18DET engines and will be up for sale; well, maybe not hte convertible because my girl is crying that she wants that car. If you guys are interested, the same guy that made this one will be making the other ones and trust me, this manifold is elementary compared to RWD ones he make for the KAs, SRs and RBs.

OK, I talked to Race Engineering yesterday. The pistons won't be in for another 1-2 weeks. The 83mm/83.5mm pistons will be $450 and the rings will run you between $60-$90 dollars. He wasn't sure which brand of rings it was coming with so he wasn't sure on the price. Custom pistons will run you $600.

They should have been had this piston on file because they kept my last piston which was done over 3 years ago. It would be nice to have access to pistons and especially being that close to me. So my g/f's white sentra is going to get a good thrashing this weekend at the track because this engine has lasted long enough and must be tested at constant high boost in a 1320 scene. The stock headgasket has been good through 15-18psi on a constant basis, but let's test it past 20 and see what times I can get;) .

It will not include the ceramic coating though, but can be done for extra.

does HAVE to be set up for an external gate? and how much extra is the ceramic coating?
