if it is a stock sr you will get smoked badly!!!!!!!!!!

no offense but a stock sr dosen't hold a candle to a lightning.... you ever see one of those run at the track, never over the 13's, sometimes 12's.........

yep i mean to be pretty sure ull wn him u have to have run atleast a 13 second quarter mile. theyre killaz. o yea and a word of advice, a lot of times domestic killaz are modified. u never know about the supercharger sitting under the hood until u see the lightning coming off the ground. well newayz trust me not worth it.

my friend and i raced one in his 3z tt, and we died like whoa, the tt runs 14flat in the 1320 so that lightning had to be running mid 13's

It's a truck build to do nothing but go really, really fast. It's an F-150 with a supercharged V8...380 HP, 450 ft lbs of torque. I've only seen a few on the street, and they weren't being used to haul a load of mulch. They cost as much as a 350Z (more than a base model, actually) and I really doubt Ford makes many of them.

If you run a 99 or 00 one you may have more of a chance because they were 360hp and they bumped the hp up to 380 in 01. The quickest and easiest way to tell is the 99 and 00's didn't have the altezzas on them stock. You'd have a better chance from a roll I think because these trucks are meant to go from a dig...if you go from a stop be prepared for him to pull out on you like hell.

99 and 00's will run mid 13's to low 14's and 01+ will run high 13's down to low 13's stock.

A friend of mine use to have a 93' Lightning, and then a 99'. Those trucks are hella fast. If you're planning on racing one, I'd suggest u get your power up. Or they will pwn u from stop to finish. I'm not a big ford fan, but their SVT's and Lightnings are awesome performance.

If I ever build my RB25 tho.. Ford drivers better watch out!

Im not a fan of any kinda of car, im a fan of anything thats fast and the lighting is fast as hell. Its a basically a stang with a bed. Same motor as the svt mustang and all. A kid i go to school with has one, and trust me when i say you've had a bad day if you run into a Lightning.

My Friend has a Lightning and its pretty quick. With an intake, he ran it at the track and ran a 13.2. He only had the car for a month at that point. Its 10 months and a couple thousand dollars in mods later, his car dynoed at 500+ i believe. It should be running 11.80's or so, but we have yet to try. Its real fast. I dont know any SR powered 240 around here that can match that, but there are some really fast ones out there. But to the "average" S13/S14 SR powered driver (ie FMIC, intake, Exhaust)....you wouldnt stand a chance against this (Maybe S15 SR).

BTW, my friend is trying to sell his lightning. You can check it out at http://www.speedfactor.org or http://speedfactor.org/whiplash.html .

You can email me and i can get in contact with him at [email protected].

i was with my friend in his wrx.. he runs mid 13 consistantly, and since he is 4wd, and has a u tech stand alone, with a launch limiter he launches pretty damn good. the lightning pulled about a car outa the hole, then we caught up and pretty much stayed side by side. i think an sr powered 240 at 14 psi, with a fmic and a few mods would take one.... chris

I first heard pwned in Counter-Strike, and I guess it just stuck with me. =/ I could say owned, but I like throwing water on a bee's nest sometimes.

Call me stupid. Everyone else does. :D

between 270 and 300 should get it if not damn close. You have to figure that these things are pretty heavy so they need all of that hp and torque to move them, and they do a damn good job of that too. But if you have 300hp in a 240, being as light as it is, you will be pretty damn fast.

figure it this way....my step dad makes around 520 Ft/LBs of torque in a 5400lb truck, and runs mid-high 11s....

if your torque plateau looked anything like his and you had the traction he had with roughly I'd say....300ft/lbs you'd be able to take him....

I can just keep up with a stock lightening in my 96 TA 6 speed, I have a few things done, and once it gets to higher speeds I usually ever so slowly inch ahead probably because of the truck's aerodynamics (or lack thereof)

From a stop, I better have a PERFECT launch or I'm toast.

From a very slow roll i can hold my own, no matter how fast I shift, the truck gains back an inch i put on em for the fraction of a second between gears. Pretty much dead even.

Very fast trucks, a stock sr would be left behind like an sr taking on a stock s13.

I'm not 100% sure but i think pwned came from counter strike and in CS you gotta type real fast like "Hey Bastard I owned you!" and alot of people make typos so it kindof morphed into pwned

just my guess since i play alot of CS

My ping on east coast servers has been off lately around 160-220 but if we find middle ground it'll be around 110-140 I'm sure.

Always cool to find people on the forum that have more things in common with. :)

I love this forum. :ylsuper

Lucky!!

I run on DSL, almost out in the middle of nowhere(east county San Diego is not the same as downtown) so I'm not able to get the pings that cable users get. Though hopefully that will change soon.

What nick do u go buy? I either go buy JustinStrife or Rurouni Kenshin

I had trouble finding any ATL servers that u might be on. When I used Gametiger to list any server with ATL in it, it listed like 40 or 50 servers. Do u happen to have the IP for it?
