well, my old motor dynoed 390hp and 415 tq

that's a cam only LT1 with iron heads.

just on parts, you're looking to spend (depending on motor of course) about $4k

I run an RS200 rear end with a KAAZ 2 way LSD with extra plates in it to make it almost a spool. ($1k) But you could run a stock LSD back there until the 350tq mark. (they don't take too well to high torque launches.

been there. Done 3 now. Next?

Aries,

I've contemplated doing a V8 swap into my S13 for quite some time.

Besides the actual engine/transmission/ecu/harness/mounts/etc. have you done any chassis strengthening when you've installed these V8s?

I'd like to chat with you in the future about possibly fabbing up some mounts for me.

Thanks,-VA240

Yeah, all those damn Ferrari's and Lamborghini's are gass guzzlers too. I'd never drive those pieces of junk!

Since when is a performance car supposed to get good gas mileage? Who the hell cares?

Buy an Insight or Festiva...

302's are not junk, and comparing apples to apples, are not gas guzzlers. Use some common sense man. How many Ford 302's have you assembled from a bare block, and how many have you driven daily?

cross bracing of the frame underneath is a must, and if you like having working doors/sunroof, then I would advise a full cage. we've got an S13 that can't close his sunroof, or open the passenger's door.
