I love the heat AND the snow. Just not so fond of the cold.

We get both sweltering heat and occasional winter nuisances.

I like when its cool and dry. Perfect for biking, walking, being outdoors, and dressing with class.

I disagree. I don't own any. Haven't for years. Even at 110+, I prefer long pants. Of course I still look like an idiot, but that was never the point.

Leather pants in mid summer? I solute you. Used to be like that but when I tried shorts on I thought what a wonderful modification to pants they were. Its much better :)

But, that looks glorious right about now. Its fun every year.

Where is your sense of adventure Bex?

Snow is exciting, and if you are properly prepared, no more problematic then rain.

That video is made up entirely of retards who were too dumb or too cheap to acquire the proper winter or at least all weather tires.

I guess we have different perspectives, Jesda. We get both extremes here in the northeast too but I'm not concerned about what I'm wearing. I like it warm! Call me crazy but I'd rather see this outside...

Loved the video Bex. Especially the snow covered trailer hitting the underpass. Kapow!!!

it's not so much the heat, it's this ridiculous new england humidity that makes me a swampy mess all day.

Girls only dress like that on the beach! If they looked like that at Target I might change my mind.

Yes, please take the humidity and I can deal with the rest. Every day with the 70 and 80 percent gets tiring when you work in the service industry. DC is full of nasty brick houses that store it up like a hot, wet oven, too. Ugh.

Snow kicks a**. Cold can be nice too, as long as it's without wind.

Humidity is evil. I can't stand it, even if it is NOT hot. Anything over 50% relative and I start to feel like I'm swimming. When it gets up to the 70%s, things become miserable.

The temperature gets close to the dew point at night here sometimes. Days are usually 75%+ regularly through the worst of it.

And the advantage to a girl in 3 winter coats is the fun of taking it all off!

I was in a Maverick grabbing a coke and a candybar the other day and two a couple girls in Bikinis walked in to do the same. No beaches for miles. Well except that great, stinky, briney mess to the west.

Summer is good. Winter is bad. Snow is the single saving grace of the whole damn season.

So did you make like a Ford Maverick and "Grabber"??? Bah Dum Tssssssh.

Jesda, substitute a sun dress or belly shirt with short shorts for that bikini and I stand behind my point (wait, that doesn't sound quite right.... :chuckle:)

Funny video. I had one of those accidents where the vehicle was out of control because the icy street...inside the van full with heavy duty tools the sound of crashing a small vehicle was terrible...

I have to agree with Ian on the video. Most of those people have no clue how to drive in those conditions.

But, on the same token, if weather ever does get that bad that I couldn't get around in an AWD or a 4X4, then I would rather just stay put at home with the boys and have a snowball fight.

I, too, love winter and snow. Over here, I only get to see snow usually one time a year for about 2.5 days when we take our annual new years trip up to the mountains with the family. It's quite comical, really, watching all the city-slickers putting snow chains on their cars for roads that barely have any snow on them. Even further up, where it's nicely packed snow, they still believe they need chains.

A good set of winter tires, some sand bags in the trunk (if a RWD car) and patience will get you a long way...even up a mountain, which I have proven time and again to my father-in-law, and he still insists on putting chains on anything he drives up the mountain.

I would rather people be over-prepared than not. I drove in snow for many years and had no issues. In 15 years, I only missed work for snow twice. Once when the whole town was covered in black ice and once when we got 24" of snow in less than 24 hours. No one went anywhere.

As my dad said, "It's not you I'm worried about. It's the dumb-asses out there that can't drive that worry the s*** out of me."

When my sister and I were watching "The Day After Tomorrow" we kept saying "and people in Buffalo are going to work as normal."

My friend in Michigan would always hate how much snow there was and how it snowed every day for 5 months of the year. I feel like its better to work in the cold than in high heat. Atleast you can get warm more easily than trying to cool down.

Until your fingers are numb from grabbing 10 degree bolts, and you can't grip a wrench properly.
