how many Summit fittings have you assembled and used? It could've just been a bad fitting out of the bunch, s*** happens. I feel ur pain, but I can't dont see how you can justify saying they are crap unless you've used many of them. Like i said, s*** happens. Good thing u didn't spin a bearing!

If i went through the same situation that he did i would say that they are s*** also. I would never trust their fittings again.

exactly! it's not like i didn't almost lose my expensive motor to the poor quality

sjb...i hear what you're saying...but at the same time like i said i've assembled tons of fittings and NEVER EVER had a single one do this. not one. if one does it...then i can guarranty that it's not the only one in the bunch, not to mention the quality of them....i knew when i first put my hands on them that the quality of craftsmanship was far inferior to any other fittings i've ever used. i should have known better. i don't think my statement was far off at all. not to mentiom after i've been looking around i'm not the only one with these issues.

i'll post back after some use with mine and see what turns up. Im using Summit 90* and Fragola Straights. i admit the Fragola's were a bit better made, I can't knock the Summit ones just yet. If they fail, they fail, and i'll know from my oil press. gauge. Hopefully you dont have the problem again and hopefully i dont either. all i know is that my Summit fittings went in caveman-tight
