For those of you that were there, you know how great it was. 75 or so cars, and roughly 100 people throughout the day. We all had a good time last year, lets see if we can do it again.

The date is May 29th, 2005. It starts at 10.30 AM (I will probably be there earlier to reserve the pavilions.) And it will run till 5.00 PM.

The sponsor for this year is Tophat Performance. Please come check out Tophat and talk to mike and some of the guys from the shop for professional advice. They will be supplying food for the cookout. Bring a cooler of cold drinks (non-alcholic) to share.

There will be two horse shoe pits available for anyone that wants a beating. Also, for those bringing kids, there is a playground in upper overlook just for the little ones.

Camel/Chadd

Directions from 85:

85 to SR20 (Mall of GA).West on SR20 to Suwanee dam rd.Right on Suwanee dam rd to Buford dam rd.Left on Buford dam rd to Upper Overlook on the left.If you go across the dam itself, you have gone too far.

Directions from 400:

Exit 14 (SR20) go east towards Sugar Hill/Buford.Turn left on Market Place by the car wash on the corner.Dead end into Buford Dam Road and take a right. Follow Buford Dam Road all the way across the dam (approx 6 miles). When you get across the dam, go around the first curve and look to your right. Upper Overlook is a hairpin to the right and uphill. It will be a little hard to see from that direction since the sign faces the westbound lane. If you get to the Dam Store/Dam Good Food Restaurant, you have gone too far.

I've been hoping we'd do it again. I know it was a lot of work for you to put it on last year, but it was a blast. I'll have to see if I can't get the RB in the S14 by then.

i have been wanting to go to a southeast meet for quite some time. I have been trying to gauge interest in 240 owners wanting to meet up in Augusta. We do a big race/show/spl day at a dragstrip in Jackson SC which is 5 minutes from augusta and since everything is already organized it would be easy to set up a meet at the show also. the date is april 23/24 fr more info i have a post about it on in this forum.. just an idea i have been thinking about.. anyways.. i am down for going also wherever it goes down.

The meet is held at Buford Dam Park. I believe it is located in Marrietta. If you search old posts there are directions floating around somewhere.

Good news, we'll be there, no noisy KA-T this time, just a couple noisy RB cars.

Ill be there again this year. For anyone who wasnt there last year, it was a good meet/event. Alot of people were there, a couple of non-nissan/240s. So even if you dont have a nissan or 240 you should make it up there, its a real good way to meet fellow entuhsaist.

Well, the only guy that was showing off giving bpeople rides in a ka-t with no air filter has wrecked and sold that car. We will see what happens this year. It should be fun. I am still working on a sponsor for this year so nobody will have to chip in on costs. But if that doesn't work out, we will be going dutch like last year.

No KA-T rides this year guys, I was rear-ended and it was totaled. But there will be a 600hp RB24 in my S14, no rides aropund the dam this year though, not too many people enjoyed that, mainly the guys that didn't get rides. Maybe we can go out on the highway for rides instead.

Camel, if you need some help contact me, we can help out with the costs.

even if there is no sponsors, everyone brings somthing to eat and $5, well worth it for a full day.

there is a shot of all the cars there last year, and alot of them didnt even fit into that view.

I will post the details for a Mid May event towards the middle of April. It should be fun this year. Would anyone be interested in a two day event including a mountain run? I might get a group rate at the hotel down the street.

i got directions from mapquest, but its pretty straightforward, just get to I-85, take that to I-985, then when you get to the laneir exit, its only a few miles away. ill try to get you a link to the mapquest directions.
