So you were being serious? Uh, how did the puck get into the back of the net, then? After Kaner took the shot, it was magically stopped but no one knew where. Then one of the refs found it and placed it in the back of the net? All whilst 20k fans were watching live and not one of them saw this? Nevermind the video of the goal? I can deal with crazy conspiracy theories, but this one takes the cake.
You want a conspiracy theory, I'll give you one. I think the league helped Philly by calling the power play goal in game three (after the video review which occurred 1:40 or so after the "goal" in the second period). Sure, one camera angle showed white ice between the puck and the goal line. But, the camera was not at a perfect top down angle AND the puck was on edge. Personally, based on the angles I don't know if it was a goal. In fact, I'd say a lot of math and recreation of the event would be needed to actually check. Without this, I can't honestly say one way or the other, so I'd call it inconclusive (meaning the call on the ice stands). Call me biased all you want, but I think video reviews get botched more often than people think.
