Panel looks good. But honestly the manual crank window kind of kills it for me. Have you ever considered adding a spal power window kit?

haha those are my dads. we have six of those things in our garage. in the last pic i posted you can see how much space they take up. hes the copier doctor. he repairs copiers for a living. on satrudays i help him refill cartridges with toner.

How well do you think the flocking will hold up?

I'm thinking about flocking my door panel inserts, glove box and the center console cover but I'm wondering if it would hold up on the arm rest or get worn off.

not sure about how it will hold up. It should hold up good. I got the nylon fibers which are more durable and it says water resistant. Once i get my new batch im going to cover something and leave it outside for a week. Then compare it to a piece thats been kept inside. I wouldnt recommend it for anything you constantly hold, it doesnt feel all that nice anyway. Give it a shot, if it doesnt last long cover it in something else

I really like the looks of it. When do you plan on having it completed?

I'm probably doing this in like a week or so, maybe sooner. I was just wondering if you did anything special to prep the dash? Did you sand the surface at all for better adhesion, if so what grid? I know you have to get rid of any and all unwanted surfaces, I plan on using bondo for that. Sorry to revive such an old thread, didn't feel like getting flamed for making a new thread haha.

Did this a while back, You really do need a lot of plastic to catch all the extra fibers. Also, space it back like it tells you to, otherwise it will clump and you won't have enough. That adhesive gunk is tough stuff to get off your hands, wear gloves. Once I got the right feel for it, it went decently well. You do need a good even coat of the stuff on or else you will see it. You CAN fix cracks with body filler and the adhesive will go right over it, just make sure it's all leveled out.
