I guess its on the design of the shim. Or the name HKS. I found them for $488 so that's not too bad. I was going to pay $500 for MBV's.

with the hks you still have to measure the right size shims correct? and then order them? like you do with tomeis or no?

No the HKS comes with it all. You just need to make the shims fit by grinding it down. Since I'm not doing it and XAT is I have no worries LOL

Yeah but that's what every SR has to do with solid lifters. Anyways by that time I know I will have a lot more upgrades....sheesh they just keep coming out with more and more stuff for the SR.

ya i know that with every sr + solid lifters you must reshim every 5,000 miles or so but i thought that maybe you dont have to reshim AS MUCH with the HKS ones because of the price..488 with shims compared to 193 plus 7bucks a pop for 16 shims and guides = $305 (thats for tomei) plus the test kit i got for 50 bucks so 355 compared to 488 for HKS thats why i thought you wouldnt have to reshim as much because of the price of HKS being so much more than tomei..but those things are gonna be bad @$$ man congrats

According to XAT they all need to be re-shimmed every 5,000 no matter the maker. I will give you a ride in it when I get them in and done.
