Very nice! Good to see your cars. I love the anniversary wheels! I'm looking for a set for my hatch, and maybe the Q sometimes lol

I agree with the whaleshark comment hahaha!

Awww... Thanks for all the kind words, guys! I know they are quite bland at the moment... but someday, they'll be something special. Well, the s13 anyways... The Zenki's getting sold after some minor repairs.

Year old thread, BTW...

Kinda depresses me how little I've done in a year. I've only removed the black stripe on the s13 and bought some OEM aero for both which hasn't been installed or painted yet.

How convenient! A thread you made a year ago about your cars coming back to life. I could pick your cars apart like you seem to love to do my cars but I'm not falling to your level this time. Like Mom said, "If you don't have something nice to say,.............."

You seem to think people don't know about wheel fitment. Don't you think I already knew my shyt wasn't flush? Maybe, just maybe, I haven't found a wheel that I like to be a permanent setup yet so 350Z enthusiast wheels took a temporary fix for cheap. I just got my car back from being in a shop for over 7 months and that is the original ride height that the mechanic put it at when they installed coilovers and did an alignment. The car has only been driven less than a month since the alignment so I'm not lowering the car until the alignment needs to be done again. I lowered my Kouki a few weeks after it got 350Z Anniversary wheels and an alignment and it screwed the alignment up and ate up my front tires fast because it threw out the alignment. I'm not making that expensive mistake again. That mistake cost me over $400.

Why am I explaining this to you anyway? I bought my cars for me and they are both works in progress like most peoples' cars on this site. There are only about 1% of forum members who have their cars exactly like they planned them to be. Go easy on jumping the gun is all I'm asking. Ask questions instead of make assumptions.

Yeah, but the difference is that I didn't mistakenly post my cars in the "Best Looking" threads. You did. Way to edit your post over there too, btw!

I don't love to pick apart anybody's car. I'm not a hater. I just offer constructive criticism, which of course, you shoud expect on a public forum. I think you get too butt-hurt for this whole internet thingie. Go have a juice-box or something and calm down.

People keep telling me that. They're both in great condition, but I've got more done to the S13 and more parts for it laying around. So I don't wanna let it go. Plus, the s13 was my first RWD, so I'm really attached to it. Also... I LOOOOOOOOVE fastbacks.

There is no difference. You totally thread jacked my thread when I posted photos of my Zenki when it got out of the paint shop the first time back in spring of 09'. You posted photos of super nice cars that were completely done and looking fresh as hell in my thread just so you could bash my ride and drop it down a few levels. I never once said in my thread, "Come see boys, my shyt is better than yours." What you did is certainly not constuctive critisism. It's called being a d!ck.

Oh, and why do you keep talking about butts?

^^^Really? How is there no difference between me making this thread a year ago and you posting in the "Best Looking Zenki's" thread(which is what started your rant today)?

Anyways, it's of little consequence to me. I honestly could care less. If thats how I came across in your thread, then I sincerely apologize. But I stand by my opinion on that two-tone hood...

I can tell this thread is probably on it's way to being locked now cuz it's about to turn into a bytchfest...

Your year old thread and the "Best Looking Zenki" thread are of no concern to me either. I was talking about the thread that I had made on here a while back that featured photos of my Navan Zenki when it still had the two-tone hood. Instead of just saying that you didn't like it, you went all out and posted all these great looking cars in my thread to basically shyt all over my car which you are free to do, but I find incredibly rude. You stirred that pot again today in the "Best Looking Zenki" thread once more and I wasn't going to freely listen to it again from you.

I do agree that the two tone hood was in fact a epic mistake and it has since been corrected and other flaws of the car will be corrected in time as well. Maybe the second photo I posted in todays "best" thread did not belong because you could plainly see that the wheels were not flush but the front shot photo may have fit in fine since you couldn't see the sides of the car.

I appreciate and accept your apology and hope this concludes my rant and your bashing of my daily rides. I want to get along and be friendly to everyone on this list. Most 240 guys I've met are very cool and genuine people. I only ask that in the future you do not completely disrespect someones "photo" thread by posting up cars that you think look better than the thread poster's car.

I also think you should keep your S14 but it is your car and you know what is best for you. I also share the same feeling of respect for my first 240sx. The Kouki will always stay but I can part with the Zenki because I've had the Kouki for 9 years now and the Zenki for only a year.

I hope this ends this.//

Ok, so yes. I'm an a$$hole who periodically dookies all over people's online hopes and dreams. Got it.

Actually, what made me kinda see that was the Z32 guys asking what my cars look like and one of them bumped this thread. After reading this thread that I hadn't seen in so long... it was really encouraging to see so many kind words about my bland & stock-ish cars.

So, in light of that spirit, I will endeavour to be more gentle with my 'constructive criticisms' in the future.

Yeah, thats the plan. I'll use the proceeds from the s14's sale to finance some potentially profitable ideas. Once profit starts to build, I'll buy a new DD with more utility. For the moment, I'm totally in love with the Honda Element...

To be honest, I wish I had done this from the start instead of ever buying the S14... Oh well, it was a lesson learned...

Lolz... I like your fitment just fine! But yeah, you and 94_240sx are two local guys that I really look forward to meeting sometime.

Most of the wheel fitment intellect I have come from online fitment databases. I've only rocked about four different setups between these two cars and none have exactly been 'hella-flush' yet. But I do have a few ideal setups in mind...

I don't want to daily the s13 because I want to put it down for massive projects, like engine swap, interior refresh, suspension/chassis upgrade, etc...

In the meanwhile, I want to drive an AWD Element. They're so roomy! I can transport motors and whatnot in the back! Plus, that K24A4 is so stout! Just a headswap with the RSX type S gives you 220hp and good torque (for a Honda). A turbo kit or nitrous would make it even more fun...

You really like the Elements? They are my least favorite Honda.. next to the hybrid models. Something about the Element makes me feel like I'm not safe. They are AWESOME if you are into outdoors stuff and being able to water-hose the interior of your vehicle though. I do PDI work at Honda Cars of Mckinney, and I get all excited anytime anyone talks about any of the models. lol

As for the topic of wheel fitment, my s13 pretty close to beautiful when my PBMs and Diamond Racing wheels get in.

Haha... any mods to any other car besides my s13 would be pretty far off. It's getting the upgrade treatment first. But any car that I plan on keeping has to have some kind of innate fun factor... something that just screams to be upgraded eventually...

You know, I haven't actually been in one yet. Could you elaborate more on that 'unsafe' feeling? The only thing I don't like so far is the placement of the gear-shifter. I arrived at the Element because I wanted to get something with more utility, so I was looking at 2001(ish) F150's. Then I kinda got bit by the 'Hella-Flush' van trend and was thinking about slamming a Nissan Quest or Odessey. But the versatility of the Element's interior wow'd me. I think Scion xB's are similar... but those cars have an inherrant douche-bagginess to them. Although you can slam an xB but not an Element. But I'm ok with that.

Plus, I like how you can mix-match the body panels between the SC and non-SC models to create a unique look without a lot of work. Here's one that's inspiring me right now:
Jerid wrote:As for the topic of wheel fitment, my s13 pretty close to beautiful when my PBMs and Diamond Racing wheels get in.
Yeah, I go back and forth on alot of decisions for my cars, but if I were to buy a set of coilovers at this very minute, it would be PBM's with 8kg/6kg spring rates.

Plans for wheels are pretty solid:A mismatched set of Rota P45R's and Grid's in Hyper Black.17x9+12 with 235/40/1718x9.5+15 with 255/35/18

I'm gonna need some fender work and negative camber to make it work though. I've looked around and haven't seen many s13's with similar fitment from what I'm targeting.

Ew, I hate those visors people put on their hood & windows, gross.

If you want a utility truck, pick up a 64 C10-wrap around windshield, turn signals in the hood, huge bed, a gorgeous truck that you can pull off the beat up look in.

^^^Nah... I'm wanting something newer at this point in life. Something that could be fun, but could also fit the bill as a family car...
