the local weather finally cleared up so i could take my rb25 S14 to the drag strip. my fastest time of the night was a 12.85 @ 122mph, 2.1 60ft, on 265/35/18 kumho spt street tires. i was spinning way too much in 1st and 2nd and i even chirped 4th during 1 run .... i should be running drag radials next time out.

heres a vidhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18sfxuT1YYw

and here is a vid of an FC who beat me off the line and thought he could take me :Phttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgCAe0eD0rc

with a good set of DR's and better 60'ft you will get into the 11's with that kind of trap speed cause my best time with my rb s14 was 12.6 @111mph with a 1.8 60ft' with stock tune, im planning on going to the drag strip next month with my new tune and mickey thompson DR's and im hoping to get a 11.9. good job though man

seeing as this was really my first solid time at the track im somewhat happy with my results. i was hoping for lower 12's but my street tires limited me more than i expected.

with the drag radials im expecting to get into the high 11's for sure ... then i will turn up the boost plus setup launch control and flat line shifting to see if i can break into the 10's. oh this is with a full interior btw. only downside is that i will get kicked off the track for running sub 11.49 without a cage

So what kind of hp and tq are you putting down. I just took my rb20 s14 to the track for the first time this year also and was somewhat dissapointed with the out come.

holy **** man lol, shes got a TON left in her. Wow I feel that your mph is slightly suffering as well from all the wheel spin, id expect mid 120's with your setup (its what I expect for mine as well lol)

My breakdown of a 12.88 time I ran, I was at 8.366 and 86.12@ the 1/8th mile. (277hp then)

The supra I raced on that run trapped 118.2 and was at 97.55/7.913@ the 8th, he cut a 2.082 60ft too lol. But ran a 12.035.

Were you crossing the line in 4th gear or 5th? (hard to tell if you lifted earlier or shifted) Also what rear end are you running?

i was in 4th going across the line with about another 15mph of room left until i hit my 7800 rpm redline.

Ah ok thats what I figured, that musta been a lift I heard in the beginning from you. I was almost thinking you had a 4.44 rear end or something lol.

Nice runs, When you go buy Drag radials, Make sure you get the Mickey Thompson ET Streets, My car Hooks Awesome with them. I pull 1.6 60' with No launch control. So that should help you alot.

I cut the 1.6 on Tein lowerd springs. I just switched to Megan coilovers this year. Have not got to test them yet. But I think Ill end up with the Teins back on my car. Not sure if coilovers will do the trick.

Did you have yours setup soft or hard at the track?

Megans are going to hurt your launch I think. No friggin weight transfer at all. I had my car at the track and my buddy (who is a way better driver) told me that the rear suspension was too stiff and thats why he was having some problems getting it out of the box.
