So what's the first mod you ever did to a car?

Mine was to a Renault R12 P.O.S. It was my buddies car and we cut a hole in the hood to make a forced air induction hood scoop.

We cut a big coffee can in half and used the metal as a frame for the bondo scoop. Then we took a vacuum cleaner hose and and wire mesh (to keep the leaves out) and mated the hole up to the carb. It worked as well as you'd expect a coffee can, bondo, vacuum cleaner hose hood scoop to work.

First mod to the S13 was new tail lights. zerothread?id=191094

My first mod to the s13 was a short shifter. Best mod ever.

First mod to any car? Must've been my first firebird. Removed the intake box and clamped a cone filter to the maf.

I don't think I ever modified any of my old cars.

First mod to the 240 was putting a set of KYB AGX dampers on it. I ran like that for a few months before I put lowering springs on the car

Firts mod i did was on a Dodge stratus( yes i said dodge stratus!!) and it was the air intake. at the time there was not alot of aftermarket stuff for a strat so a guy at the stratus forums custom made some and i got it from him. that car is what got me into working on my own car. it took me a long time but i got that car looking decent. I had just started on the whole modding cars thing and since i couldn't afford to get a new car i just worked with what i had. that car was all looks and hardly any power but it was fun to drive around. here's the end result of 2 years of custom work and hard work[IMG]

My dad bought me an Alpine head unit and speakers for Christmas. That was my first mod.

Other than that, my vert is still stock. It'll stay that way until I get a new daily driver.

Most of the stuff I've done is just maintenance-related issues.

Put polished EMPI wheels on my vintage VW bug and slammed it.

I think the first "mod" to the vert was NGK blue ignition wires (previous owner had non-OEM stuff on there).

Lame.

I put 16" Primax wheels and Toyo Proxes FZ4s on my 1991 Celica GT, some of the following mods were really bad. At the end I dericed the car though.

On my S13 coupe (first 240sx and Nissan) I put on some JDM JIC Magic coilovers.

That's awesome!!! A ricer confession, lol.

My first mod was similar... I had a 02 Sentra Spec V. I took off the front grill, removed the ugly Nissan Hamburger logo and painted it chrome and then added a SE-R logo to it.

My first mod to my 'vert.. installation of a RB20det motor.

We all remember the first engine we ever killed. Mine was a 1972 VW bug which I drove to it s death with a 16-year-old Ms. Young in the front seat. "What do you mean the engine's dead?" "We were only going 140 kph on the autobahn......"

I miss that car.....

Surprising. Bug engines were actually designed to be run like that.
