Head down to the dealership - I'm certain they'd be happy to let you test-drive one.

Truly an impressive car.

yeah he was, but decided it was too much money for what he wants. We're looking at either getting a new truck or SUV to pull our boat with.

Just curious, does the AWD only come on the Sedan? Plus, if it does, can you get the 6-speed option? I saw one the other day at a dealer by me house and I looked online and saw you can only order it in the sedan with an automatic trans...

g35x is only available in automatic sedan trim currently

I would expect to see a six speed version in the next couple years

I would hope Nissan puts it in the coupe soon but that will depend on how they interpret the market

I think if they go with an AWD coupe it would sell wonderful, especially in areas like where I live, Chicago. Alot of people drive SUVs and such because of the winter. Go with a G35x and you get the best of both worlds!

I think it be cool too if Nissan uses its AWD technology in a Sentra or something. Like mabey a G20x. Turbo that sucker and you got a little WRX killer. :D

AWD in Arizona. That seems like a mistake.

isn't the G35 supposed to be the US version of the skyline in a few years? so then the AWD G35 w/ 6spd would be a skyline, and it's been announced it's comingso it would be pointless to put out an awd 6spd G35

There will NOT be an AWD 6MT G35 Coupe.

There WILL be an AWD 6MT G45 Coupe, and it will likely be designated the Skyline.

Both the G35 and the G35 coupe are the first US Skylines. The AWD G45 coupe was supposedly dediced to be the US spec GT-R. Remember there is a huge difference in the Skyline and the name Skyline GT-R. Theres quite a few threads about this if you don't belive me, search on this site.

With that said, a G35x coupe with a 6-speed wouldn't be a waste, it would be down right kickass, I wish they would put one out. Oh well.

If they do designate the G45 as the US's first GT-R, I for one will be very dissapointed, like many others. I love the new G35 platform, don't get me wrong, but I think an RBTT belongs in it, not a V8.

The VK45de is a good engine, some say it might be a VQ35TT.

I'm gonna revive this thread coz I'm ultra excited.

Sold my 240, going to test drive G35x on Saturday. Looked at WRX and Forrester XT - didn't appeal to me (bah turbo lag).

I think I'm going to take a slightly bigger plunge but get a better vehicle.

I would like to know what you think of the awd. Have driven an Audio or BMW with their awd systems. They are probably pretty comparable to each other I guess, but I would like to know how they feel and handle in a comparrison test.

I saw one of them at the Indy Autoshow. Sitting right next to a Q45. The Infiniti guys/gal were really nice to talk to, even though they were from Drier and Reinbold.

I've had good service with D&R Infiniti, but their BMW dealers are stuck up *****. Anyway, I'm heading to the Indy autoshow this afternoon, I'll have to check it out.

Guys,

I need some help making decisions. G35x is SWEET. It feels a bit heavier than base g35 but virtually impossible to understeer and this heavy feeling is more of a tank feeling than of an RV.

MSRP is 31.900, the only option is moonroof ($900) + dest. charge $550.

Now my problem is I only have 15k in cash and can buy 2001 Subaru legacy GT Limited with 37k miles on it and have no debt at all.

Somebody please convince me G35x is twice the car of that 2001 Subi. Coz $450/mo for the next 48 months is pretty harsh.

Also,

AZhitman , do you think it will be reasonable to ask for 33k out of the door (after all the taxes and fees).

Insurance isn't an issue since the difference will be like 60-70$ in 6 months.

Thank you for your feedback.

Just found one plus in going with G35.

I wouldn't have to switch forums to Subaru owners club :)
