first experience with initial D

I don't think they have the game in the Boomer's in El Cajon(east county San Diego). Last time I checked anyway. But I'll check again. I'd love to try the game at least a couple times. I've seen videos of it in Japan and it looks like fun.

so i saw this game and i just had to check it out. 2 whole friggin dollars to play one game...WTF? i chose the s14 and accidently chose the Hard level. Doh! so i end up racing on a hard *** course against an rx-7 and lost badly. it seemed kinda hard to start the drift, but once i was in a good drift, it was pretty easy to control. very cool game, but way too expensive here.

I played for the first time on friday at XS Orlando, It was pretty cool but a lil expesnive, $1.50 a game. But was fun for sure, got me a ard with my car on it (My black MC

). They had one at Downtown Disney but it was "out of order" wtf.

I hate too say it, but its a stupid Sega adaptation designed too make people spend money.

You can't drift, physics don't exist, I hardly get the point of shifting gears, it coulda been good, but it would have been too hard for the average schmoe, overall rating 2/10

I got a question. What happened to the forums? It's been changed and I can't go through the different sections on posts relating to the RB engines, KA-T engines, etc etc. Can anybody tell me when this happened, and why?

hey justin i live in point loma, and i play @ the one on clairmont mesa exit off the 805. make a right and a right and you are in the parcking lot. and there are no card options on tuesdays or thursdays cuz it's free. the exit is right after the 163 interchange.

maybe we'll have to play sometime. I've seen it once at Boomers here in El Cajon but I was with a girl and wasn't gonna go off and be stuck on that game all day

I've got an MR2. It has sucky acceleration but it launches like the AWD cars. I'm at Takumi right now and I've got the Tom's option and getting really really close to finishing the game. I'm about to beat takumi on Akina and will finish up Happ soon. I'm not the best but I'm pretty up there.

do you know who makes the game?is it arcade only? or PS2 ?website something. I live in TX and haven't even heard of it coming to the shores I've watched the show all ever episode...I hope it does well in the states.

yeah man the game is made by sega, Sega makes the Arcade Stage V1. The Special Stage is coming out for the PS2, and the V2 is already out in japan and is soon coming to america. The game is kinda based on Stage 1. V2 is based on Stage 2 and there will be a "wet mode" where you race in the rain, also in V2 you have the choice of turnning boost off. They included FWD because its Initial D not just a drift game. In Initial D they have civics and such, i dunno why they added a integ tho -_- beats me. The game is quite simple to start a drift, just upshift let go of gas turn the wheel and step on gas and u drift =) hell u can even drift just by turning the wheel too fast lol its a fun game. I live in So cal and like the other guys said Boomers 10 bucks tuesdays and thursday rock

well i went to esco boomers a while back and they had it there. had a 6 hour session there with my friends on initial d during 10 buck tuesday :ylsuper

I played with just about every nissan and mazda in the game. I have felt no difference in turning or acceleration unless your car has been modified. It only matters on how you drive the car and take the corners. Its up to you on what car you want to use and show off.

I read a couple past posts on this and somone was complaning about it being $.75 a game hell i pay 1.00 a game... and did ya guys no that on the initial start of the race when playing in manual mode.... ok this may sound stupid but if you launch it at full rpms and shift right into 3rd gear... yes 3rd!!

there is not any car that can take u out of the whole..... so be it if ur just a stock s14 or a AE86 against a skyline the AE will take it or any other car for that matter as long as you automatically shift into 3rd gear... trust me try it !!!!... hehehe have fun..:ylsuper
