107%. Some of the quality of life improvements we've made have absolutely help us improve on track. Less stress out of the car makes you faster and have more fun in the car.

Started work on the second electronics case. This one is proving far trickier. Trying to efficiently stow 6 USB charge cords and a charge hub is testing my 5th dimensional thinking to the max.

Camera packout is "done".

I spent way too long trying to decide layouts. I brainstormed ways to stash 6 USB cables that need to come out and get restored 3 times a weekend and couldn't come up with any great ideas. So I decided to build the charger and cables into the case.

Bottom/mid layers were mostly about cable management, and a few spare parts.

Many a ziptie was sacrificed to the project.

Got creative with the top layer. Used a razor blade to cut a shelf to drop the second tablet under the primary.

And the finishing touch.

Pretty happy with how it turned out. It was important to be able to charge everything at the same time since we often make it back to our lodging with minimal time before needing to sleep so staggering the charging doesn't work.

I ran a 1 hour charging test to see how hot the charge hub would get packed in the foam. Charging all 6 items and it only got slightly warm. I disassembled it before install, and the only ventilation is on top and thats open, there's quite a bit of air space inside the unit

Since I had everything plugged in, and to finish things off I ran a test stream using the new overlay system that will allow us to display which driver is in the car as well as position and lap time info. Super excited to see this in action.

Can't wait for VIR.

Once again between work, racing, coaching soccer, and building Another project car, I've somehow let this go almost a full year without updates. It's a good thing I don't make any money off this stuff (quite the opposite honestly) or I'd be even more broke than I already am.

Let's see if I can dig up some.pictures and get this thread current. 2025 was one of the years of all time.
