Thats right folks, the day has finally come: the AEM EMS is now available for purchace!

http://forum.aempower.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=9669

I'm going to wait about a month or so for round 2 to start coming out, and then I'm definetly going to be using this for my KA-T setup.

Anyone else seriously thinking about using this system?

Whenever they get somthing for the S14 I will. You simply can't beat a plug and play standalone.

you guys both read the "KA ECU tuning" thread right? the prices are incomparable... but the AEM does offer better tunign capabilities.

Hook me up with a link, I don't think I read that one.

Your car is looking good by the way. I love checking out good DIY type pics. It always shows new ways to weld/route/mod things. Like your CAI idea...lol. To bad I fabbed all mine out of mild steel already. Could have shaved some lbs.

Right here:

If this will work well for mildly boosted applications, like stock boost (7-8psi) on a TD05-14B, that's the route I'll probably be taking for my truck.

Oh- I'm still browsing using "nissaninfiniclub.com". It works for me.

Alrighty... here's the NICOclub link:

http://nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=74077

It's the same. I assume that the nissaninfiniticlub.com and nicoclub.com are both pointing to the exact same server, or at least... the two sets of forum software is using the same database. I had to log in separately to NICOclub, but my post from the old address still shows up and works too.

I've been doing some research on pricing... looks like AEM set the minimum price for the unit around low $1600's, and it seems you can find it (if you look hard enough) with the internal wideband unit for about 2 grand.

This car is costing me way more money than I ever thought it would, but that's the fun part, right?

I cant wait for this to hit... $2k with a wideband is awsome. This damn ECU has auto tuning so I'm super excited.

I think this will help me unlock that power I have been working towards.

I downloaded the software tonight from the AEM site... DAMN this thing has a TON of options and things you can do. Seriously I think I could learn how to tune 3 times over on this thing, and still have plenty left to learn. I still want this system, but I think I'm gonna need someone experienced to hold my hand this time.

...Wow though, $2000 is a lot of money but jeez I just cant wait to spend it haha

I will be putting an order in for the S14 95 OBD1 (30-1610) as soon as it is available! I will be using it with my techedge wideband. The EMS offers soooooo many features it isn't even funny how awesome it is.

Things I will be using :Boost ControlerMAP/IAT instead of MAF

etc

AND the AEM digital gauges on my carputer will ROCK

I'm going to pick it up around Christmas! Emanage is great and all, but with 550ccs, cold start drivability is a PITA and timing gets screwed.

For $1600, its not a bad price considering thats the only option us KAT guys have at the moment for pnp besides JWT.

Any idea when the 95 S14 EMS will be released? Why can't we use the S13 one?

the s14's ecu plug is physically different than the s13's

the aem is much much much, hold on, much easier to install. it can do anything you would want your haltech to do

Right now i've searched the tool bar and well it keeps wanting me to plug a ems to the computer. I just wanna learn how to change around settings and such. So if anyone knows how to work the program could you help me. Thanks guys.

This might be a stupid question but could you use any form of boost controller along with the ems. Reason being I was intrested originally with the greddy emanage and using the profec e-01 along with it.

I'm thinkin' about using it. I was adding up what everythign would cost if I didn't go EMS- JWT ECU, SAFC II to fine tune it, alcohol injection to safely run a hi boost setting, dual stage boost controller, z32 MAFS, wideband O2 sensor...It comes out to about the same as the EMS would be, and the EMS would be much simpler/more reliable. My goal is to have 240-270 whp daily, and then 320 whp max as a hi boost setting for having fun on weekends. I wouldn't have to deal with alcohol for big power, I'm sure gas mileage would be better because the EMS can be tuned more precisely, and I could run a MAP setup and eliminate the MAFS. It's jsut a thought for now though, I still have a lot to learn and the turbo will prolly be the last thing I do on my car.

I'm glad Horsepower Freaks is right down the road from me

Once I get the AEM i'm going to have them tune it...

The owner was telling me about all the neat little warning features he has set up on his 800hp Supra...

I wish I had the cash to do to my car like he has on the Supra

Looks stock... But Faster then the Flash.

Is anyone here actually serious about buying this system soon?

I'm VERY close to buying it (like, a couple days)... it would be really nice if a couple people were also so that we could get some sort of group buy price... Email me: [email protected]

(I'm also signing a lease october first which is why i can't order it today.
