This quote bothers me sorry.

- You wont screw anything up unless your blind or retarded and cant pay attention to the road.

- Its a s***ty excuse, if you dont want to be low or cant afford it just say so.

- Not all cars that are low look like s***, only the ones that have idiots driving do, or ones that actually track their cars.

- Not all cars that are low are s***ty nor use the excuse purpose built to make up for it.

Your acting like every car that is low gets ruined and uses lame excuses.

Case in point, heres my front end, if you can tell me where its screwed up from being low let me know. Its not because i pay attention when i drive which is a a lot.

Like i said sorry, just irked me a lil.

I like the white on white.

Orange juice as in orange peel. Your car has a lot of it. Wet sand should be right after coilovers.

Seeing as how cheap sandpaper is I guess do it before you get coilovers.

Just wet sand it at some point and it will make it look 12x better.

I'm seriously bummed when I see a post by you only to scroll down to see your signature didn't show up for that post. Haha anyways on my bimmer, my front two struts have been blown for the last month and the car rides fine, it just sounds like absolute crap if I drive it. I can literally go 2mph over a speedbump and you'd swear people are throwing rocks at my car. But yeah I'm getting a set of NEX coilovers for $700 since it's my DD. You don't need a set of GC's for $1,800 or whatever they are just get a cheap set from a reputable company for DDing. And yeah wetsand now

looks tacky at that ride height, just my opinion though.

IMO needs coils for sure, and of course he is only 15, he has that stigma that coils suck still, give him a few years and he will come around.

Stance or PBM and you will barely notice the difference, you will appreciate coils alot more, makes you a better driver!.

eitherway, great start, but needs to be lower in order for the bodykit to look proper in my opinion.

props!

I've been seeing that body kit alot lately my friend has it and as far as i rememger his bumper fits fine and i know his bump support is still on cuz the guy who put the body kit on(my friend bought it with it) still has the stock turn signals bolted on under the kit. They must be bolted into the bump support cause well....where else would they be?

Anyway car looks good and coils aren't bad, they are adjustable so you dont have to sacrifice all your comfort.

I dunno, I like it, looks good, personally I would love coilovers myself but I don't see spending so much on something that will only adjusted once, especially for a daily driven car that won't see a track, and some people spend so much on coilovers just for the look? I like low 240s but they all don't have to be slammed.

I happen to think your car looks hot, maybe some wet sanding and you're golden, did you try to tweak the bumper support to see if it would line everything up?

It is naive to think that people buy coilovers purely for the look. I enjoy driving my car so much more because it is on coilovers, the spirited driving is complemented tremendously by coilovers.

Of course you will get those who say slam it to the ground, but just because you have coils does not mean you have to slam it either, OP says the rear is too high still, with coils he could lower the car that 1 more inch for the desired ride height, with improved handling.

Not sure who would not want that

i did say i dont have enough money. so it wasnt me trying to make a lame excuse. im just saying imo i dont think i need them. even though i will still probably get some sooner or later.

i did. but the orange peels in the base coat so it doesnt make it look any better. im def going to repaint it within the next year or so.

i dont think coils suck at all. where are people getting this idea? i just said i dont need them. right now im fine with the ride height. thats all. once start going to the track, yes, ill def buy coilovers. but right now i just dont think that theres enough reason for me to spend $800 on them. my parents already hate how much ive put into this car. but hey...its my money

well theres all different kinds of this kit. im quite sure mines just some knockoff. the last guy put it on so idk. it doesnt say origin anywhere though. so yea different ones probably fit different. i know mine for sure it wouldnt work. ive going to have to cut real little chunks out of the support if i want to put it back on

the last guy put them on. pretty stupid considering it had stock steelies. he didnt even cut the fenders underneath. ugh...it made it 10x harder to cut those damn things with the overfenders already on.

No offense man, but you live in Florida! You have NO idea what it's like to drive on Illinois roads. We have potholes here that would rip that pretty lip of yours right off. Let alone speed humps, steep driveways etc. I wouldn't even be able to get your car up my old driveway. Your car would also make a great snowplow in the winter around here.

^thanks broadfield. i didnt even bother looking at the pic the first time but your right. no lip like that would stay looking pretty where we live. in fact, if i do lower my car anymore, i wont be able to go up the street i live on. i still probably will ill just have to take a different route home.

I am troubled by the people who think just because it is low it cannot go just as many places (except for the obvious obstacles)

I live in Calgary, Canada and our roads are for sure deathtraps as well, we all have our shares of potholes and steep driveways. The fact is that you don't drive a lowered car like a normal car.

It is honestly very rare that I am not able to make it somewhere just because of how low my car is. You make due, and pay absolute attention to the road avoiding the potholes. The street going up to my house is nearing a good 35 degree incline, I go up it sideways and deal with it.

If you drive the way you do now with a lowered car then sure you will rip your lip off, that is a given.

Dunno what people are complaining about, as if they live in the only state with bad roads.

I don't think anyone is arguing the fact that a lowered car "can" go virtually as many places. I just think that some don't want to have to, in your own words, "deal with it". They want to be able to just drive their car and not worry about being able to go down a particular street because of road construction, speed humps etc. Even my car is easily low enough that I have to worry about some places that I go to. I have had my share of slammed cars, and it's a pain sometimes. My Sti for reference:

Great looking car!

Sorry, my response was a more general rant to the recent on-going battle with Nico and slammed cars.

It is a very valid point that people just want a comfortable ride.I just wanted to push the point that if you want a lowered car, you gotta drive it like a lowered car and go that extra distance to keep your car together.

not trying to bash, Op wanted opinions and Nico is here to deliver

No need to be sorry! I wasn't saying you were being unreasonable with your thoughts. I was simply showing it from another view point.... I'm usually good for that. For the record, I think the OP's car should be lower too, but it's his car, and I'm sure he has his reasons for the ride height that it's at. Whether it be monetary, usability or simply hasn't gotten to that stage yet.

Carry on
