well i got these megan springs from a guy on here for 70 shipped. i thought it was a decent deal so i snatched them. took me the entire day yesterday to put them on. i also found out ALL of my struts are completely blown. how dangerous is it to drive around with blown struts all the way around? i'll look for some used but in the mean time i plan on just keeping it the way it is. anyway i was pretty happy with the lowering rate. fronts are perfect. but the backs are a little high. on to the picsfrontbackpicture whore

+1Was waiting for you to lower it heh i have your rims in black and want to see what they looked like. Are you going to get coils eventually or is that as low as you want it?

Dangerous? Kind of. No stability.

But you should put some real coil overs on that thing. And close up that bumper gap. Otherwise it looks great. Kinda.

im just going to save up for some used struts. the height is fine with me. my bumper already hits alot. and id rather not have to ziptie my bumper together
duffman1278 wrote:Why do you have about a 1 foot gap between the bumper and the fender?? ugh
i think it may be because i left the bumper support in there. i think most guys take it out. id rather have the support with a inch crack then having to worry about even a little crash

save for coilovers. Don't waste your time with a spring and strut combo not worth it IMO and pretty much everyone elses opinon probably too.

It's going to ride like s*** too

1. id have to take the bumper support out! debating if i want to

2. why? so i can go lower and ruin my car and then drive around with a "purpose built car" (for those of you who read that stupid thread argument)

3. i painted it! im 15, what the hell? i saved 1500 doing so. fine by me

4. i painted them white because i like white on white. thanks for your opinion though

i like the way your car looks at least you arent like most of the 15-16 yr olds on here. coils and some dmax lights. would be awesome. blown shocks are dangerous.

2. no your car well handle much better, and just cause you have coils doesnt mean your car has to be slammed?

3. im 18 and painted the car in my sig myself? with HOUSE PAINT! and it looks 10x better! your pressure was to high or your paint was to thick

this cars my daily driver. i dont go to the track nor need better handling on the street. i would much rather spend my money on other things for my car then buy unecessary coils that are just going to make the ride rougher. and my car doesnt look that bad. the qp picture makes it looks horrible but thats just because the qp is wavy as hell. besides i'd like to see what other 15 year olds paintjobs look like. we all have to start somewhere.

i just removed the bumper support so the bumper fits 10000x better. also i made some custom turn signals to go in the square slots using plexiglass, etched glass tint and some old fog lights. looks pretty good. ill post up pics tommorow

wellll....when i took the spring off i could compress the strut with my pinkie. thats usually not a good sign. also it wouldnt rebound at all. i literally had to pull it back up

heres some pics of the fixed bumper and signals. for the signals i just took my fog lights, hooked them up to the turn singal wires, then covered the lights with a transparent orange cover and then cut out plexi glass and painted it using this frost glass stuff. anybody know if its a law to have orange front turn signals. really wanted to make them just white but dont want to get in trouble. dont like the the orange because you can see it when its not lit up. i may add another layer of frosted plexiglass to hide it moreto get the bumper to fit i took the bumper support off and i drilled the holes farther in and then added spacers underneath to lift the whole bumper up. theres still sag in the middle that i cant do anything about though. still looks alot better though

Your doing an awesome job bro. Do your own thing, as long as your learning and havin some fun, but so far it looks great. Make sure you take care of those struts though if your going to keep the springs. Safety first for sure. Keep up the good work!

I would much rather look at a whited out car over a blacked out car any day of the week. With the exception of the front bumper (find a chuki bumper and Xenon lip 1 billion times better than any body kit) she looks good.

Start saving up for some kouki tails and yes, coilovers.

Blown shocks can be driven on until you get coilovers.

me too. i hate all blacked out cars. im thinking about buying some d-max clear replica tails on ebay and smoke them with light tint. or just buy the real thing. but theyd be over twice the price
