Have you had any experience with the BFG g-Force T/A KDW-2's? I'm currently debating between those and the RE750's.
ROFL. Your'e right. Don't worry though, no body would go through the trouble I did to find out that info since TD is a U.K. company and doesn't advertise their wheels very often, and if they do its only Honda offsets they advertise.

As far as the BFG's go, I couldn't tell you. Only tires I have first-hand experience with are the: BS RE950, Falken Ziex a/s, and the BFG traction t/a (practically a snow tire--which is why I got it).I haven't driven a car w/ anything else worth noting. Oh. Actually I remember driving an ex-bf's car w/ Yokohama Parada Spec-2's.. those are sick but crappy wet traction.

I just perused TireRack's test results and owner reviews to get a idea of what options I had. I stuck w/ the Stones because I was so happy w/ the previous RE950's I had before that I figured UHP tires would be even sweeter. I don't have them broken-in yet so I can't give a proper review on them. But I will, I have 200 miles to go.

In the event I would bend or crack one, it would suck to wait 4 months for a replacement.

I'm looking around for nice Kosei K1 or Enkei RPO-1 wheels in 16x7. I've got a bunch of other stuff to fix on my car, so it's not a huge rush right now. I've got my trusty steel wheels and some crappy all-season tires that I abuse daily. :D
I had the same misgivings, but I figured if I orderd a set of 5 wheels I would be gravy. I mean, the wheels I have are discontinued from SSR, so in a sense I'm screwed even more. But they were a great price, great offset, and a great weight and were in the states so I got them (passwordjdm.com btw).

Its a crime to drive a 240 in the summertime (or good weather) and have crappy tires. It just inhibits the car so much. What do you run Mojo?

Thanks Dan!!

Ok here's a profile shot for you guys, finally had a break in the rain. I was washing the car in what seemed to be 30mph gusts.. no fun.

Even though I painted them myself, the brake dust wipes right off.

I wasn't really worried about damaging wheels until I hit a monster pothole last fall. It was raining and dark and hit the crater at about 60mph. Bent one of my precious 15" steelies :D

It would have been really bad with a lighter wheel and a lower profile tire.

Right now I've got my OE steel wheels (with fancy OE wheel covers) and 3 Toyo Proxes H4's and one...uhhh mystery tire.

I've finally managed to fix a lot of the stuff that was wrong with my car and after I replace a bad injector I'm going to start on suspension.

Right now, I'm hoping to find a used 15x7 or 16x7 4 lug wheel and something like a Avon M500 or Yokohama AVS ES100.

Profile pic looks sweet, Sky!

You're right about TD, they do very little advertising. And where they do, are usually more serious performance oriented like GRM or a few engineering journals I've seen. I've wanted them for the longest time since they were like the only company offering all black rally style wheels. (Mine are ready to be painted I'm told)

As for the tires, I'm leaning towards the BFG's. I've read the better part of the reviews on tirerack and they're both really close, but I think I'll try the KDW2's cuz they're a little bit cheaper, and it seems that they're good in the rain as well as a bit more predictable and forgiving at the limit (according to the reviews anyways). So we'll see. As soon as I get them on the car and put some miles on them I'll post a review. Besides, if BFG is good enough for the WRC guys, they're good enough for me.

Well they are a discontinued rim, they were made back when SSR used to be its own company ( i forgot who bought them out). I've seen them more commonly on BMW's.
