Not a fan of them either but when I saw them I really liked them. Then I saw them on a Z in Vegas. Th coupe was code red like mine and had the same wheels in 20's. I fell in love right there when I saw them!08Coupe wrote:I DON'T like painted lips, but on your car it works well, very nice!
The red on the lip isn't an exact match but the pics don't do it justice. They look a lot better in person. Yes I do plan on waxing them or putting some kind of protection coating on them to make it easier for cleaning. Does anyone out there recommend a product over the other?Sarcanglk wrote:Overall, I love the ride! I must say the more I look at it the lip's red just seems a little dull. I just feel like the body's red and the lip's red just doesn't match up. The lip can use some kind of wax (if there is something like that) IMO.
I noticed the color difference too - I was wondering if those were anodized red vs color matched. Anodized red is seems have both a metalic and a burgundy/maroon-ish tint which might stand out more. Here is a pic of a similiar wheel - you can see better I think the color of the lip.Sarcanglk wrote:Overall, I love the ride! I must say the more I look at it the lip's red just seems a little dull. Thanks Doc!rjdmmfl1 wrote:Dangeris, you're entire concept is nice! Its a look that, without all of the pieces you put together, doesn't work IMO! I think you take any one thing away from your car, and it's just not the same. I really didn't like the look of your car with everything done, while riding on the stockers, but the wheels have def completed the package. Its very flashy and immediately demands attention! God job homie!
What "chip factor"? Isn't anodizing a process of electro-charging the metal and having the color stick to it because of the charge? It's not like painting the lip with paint and having it chip off...or is it?LongBeachCoupe wrote:Im interested in learning more on the "chip factor" on anodized... is it bad?
The Fuji is more than adequate - I've had the S5100, S5700 (stolen and replaced by), S700. So it might be the settings, angle etc. - or could just be my monitor.dangeris wrote:Yes, the lip on the wheels are anodized red and they oare a little off on color when compared to the code res but that wasn't my concern at all.
The camera I used is no high tech canon or nikon, it's a Fuji s5700 and shout it at 7mp on an auto setting. Wish i did have a nicer cam though to take those awesome pics.
Thanks Doc!
I'm sure that the Fuji is more than adequate but I know that there are hidden potentials that I haven't begun to tap into with this camera. I really need to play around with it and manual mode and see what it does instead of putting it on auto. What I really need is to take a class or hook up with someone who knows camera and photography and learn from them!Cali 2 Balti G wrote:
