So i finally got around to having my buddy build my cage for me. I started a thread of what color i should paint my interior once the cage was done....well its done so here it is.....

I had originally wanted to paint the car and interior the purple of the Honda Fit but i have changed that honda purple to a nissan purple....Midnight Pearl, im sure most of you nissan heads know what this color looks like. It should be getting sprayed this coming week or next. Got a ticket i need to pay for first.

That's awesome and I think the purple would look sick. How much would something like that cost you if a friend didn't do it?

Why are you putting in the cage? Tandem? Just wondering because i didn't see any door bars or a halo. Looks good tho.

Me three. Other than that, the craftsmanship looks good. The mounting points on the floor look excellent.

EDIT: Perhaps it's a work in progress?

Thanks for the compliments guys. It will be painted soon, got to pay some stuff first, im hoping next week or the following week, shouldnt take longer then 2 weeks but with my luck something stupid will pop up. To answer the cage ?'s.....right now its just there for rigidity and safety, im actually thinking of doing the whole 6 pt with the door bars but the car is not gonna be a drift car, dont get me wrong ill go out and do it here and there but its gonna be my street/track car, im more into time attack then drifting. Will see what i do, either way ill post again once its painted and thanks again

Good lord man just finish the 6 pt with door bars and THEN paint it. You can't go back once you've painted.

cool man time attack is fun, i would also suggest just doing the halo and the door bars while your at it. Save you time and hassle in the long run plus its not that hard just make sure you test fit your seat.

Sorry....didnt make myself clear, I would NEVER paint the inside if i was gonna do more bars. Just contemplating it right now. If i do decide to do it of course im not gonna paint the inside.

The whole car is gonna be painted the same as the cage, BUT that aint gonna happen for maybe another month or 2. Im building this from the ground up and i have no front end on it. Going with the Silvia conversion, just doing the interior aspect of the build so far.

That is the thread that i started a while ago about what color to go with inside. I was thinking purple with a white cage or vice versa. As of right now i have decided to do it ALL purple.

Thanks boss, its only a HALF cage right now, im actually talking about the 6 point right now with my buddy. Just really deciding on if i want to escape the daily driver look for the full out race car type look.

Yeah for sure, just got done talking with my painter, will be dropping the car off next week some time. I dont think im going to go with the 6pt. My whole purpose of this car was to keep it simple. Climbing in and out of the car isnt what im really looking for in my daily. When i get a true daily driver ill go all out. Wont hurt me to do it down the road

Ha ha funny you mention that.....just started talking with my buddy bout that. My only other real main concern that i have had along to go with the 6pt is the dash. I can not stand cracked dashboards and im afraid that when i cut into the dash its gonna cause a domino effect and create more cracks. In the end some may say just NUT UP and do it but im very critical of the smallest things. I have also decided to verge into the s13.5 conversion instead of the s13 silvia as planned so kinda wanna spend the money there and not on the cage right now. I know..... easy decisions to make and cant make them lol

You get use to getting in and out of a caged daily driver its really not a big deal. I do it, not trying to act cool (my bucket is on sliders so that helps)

You don't have to put the cage through the dashboard, just snug it up to the A pillar and bring it down right in front of the dash there is a ton of room.

IMO go with the s13 silvia front i promise you wont regret it.

Ok so here's another lil update.....got the car back Fri from being painted inside. I had many sleepless nights thinking of how I would go about the interior color. I contemplated many different scenarios like ALL white inlcuding cage or White with Purple cage or Purple with White Cage or ALL silver including cage and finally decided with all purple. I had alot of ppl help with the descision with pics of cars that had there whole inside one color including cage likes these.....

All those cars led me to my descision to keep it all one color. I aint gonna lie....in the beginning i wasnt really feeling it, i thought I made the wrong choice and felt maybe i should of gone all white or white with a purple or purple with the white cage but ater seeing the above cars and other cars that were posted for me i have made peace with it  If i ever decide to change anything it will be the cage, ill either get it resprayed another color or maybe wrap it with some cool stickers or something either way here it is.....YES....ONLY 2 pic's right now, as it is im not really satisfied with these pic's much less the others that i have so i will retake the pics when its a better day and post em again. Let me know what yall think good or negative
