Battery > 30amp inline fuse > 30 amp Relay (switched with a 5amp "add a circuit" on the fuelpump fuse) > fans.

With my KOYO, Flex-A-Lite 2500CFM fans, Nismo thermostat, and new waterpump my engine runs @ 90 degrees cold and 125 degrees warmed up (20min to fully warm) IDK WTF to do haha it's running WAY to cold, even when I beat on it I can't top 150 degrees, and the temp goes down again within like 30secs. I think I went a little overkill on cooling...

Oil pressure is running 60psi cold and 20psi warm @ idle, I think I need to switch to a thinner oil.

another bright idea... run your 2 fans off the FUEL PUMP FUSE!!! hopefully your pump doesn't get short of power while your in boost... or say goodbye to your motor.

You should run the power for the fans into the ignition source so the fans work while the key is on and its not drawing power from one vital part of the fuel system.

If he wired it right, the only power the fans are drawing from the fuel pump is to trigger the relay = next to nothing.

I did say the fuel pump was just for the relay switch...

Anyway I used a "Add a Circuit" where the fuelpump fuse plugs in... basicly it adds another seperate circuit/fuse. It has a 5amp fuse to tigger the relay.. it pulls next to nothing. Even if it pulled the full 5amps + the 10amps for the fuelpump that's still WAY under the power you can pull off a single outlet. (has to pull less then even that or the fuses would pop)

Anyway this is what the circuit adder looks like, I have the 10amp for the fuel pump and the 5amp to switch on the relay.

No.. but you should have an inline fuse on that power to the fans because if something shorts out you might burn up the fans.

Also it's a PITA to have to turn the fans on when you get in the car... It only costs $10 in parts and 20min of time to do it so they turn on when you turn the car on.

Nope your fine with that setup. I was just saying that its not a good idea to run anything off the fuel pump fuse because its a pretty important part of a turbo system. I am sure kenrik knows that and he seems to have it all figured out. now lets all get out of his thread.

Looks good, man. I'd also like to see how the downpipe turned out.

Also, how do you like the AMS turbo?

Does the IAP manifold really place the turbo close enough to the brake fluid resevoir to cook it even with the blanket and the heat shield you have on there? I see you also wrapped the plastic resevoir in some kind of foil.

the ams turbo rocks! i jsut pulled the car apart today to finalize everything. the manifold has like 1.5" of clearance. but why would i take a chance of things getting hot? might as well wrap it all...

i got the turbo wrap from enjuku racing. and the ams gt32 is working great so far. it starts making boost ~3000 rpm and pulls hard. i cant wait to bump timing and boost up.
