Just like Darius once said about his build it seems as if his job has been to assemble and disassemble his motor before it ever goes in. Well thats what has been happening for the past year with me.

Been floating around for a long time but haven't had any pics to show. I guess this is my little late introduction. Well my motor is finally back together from laying in the garage in pieces. Hopefully it'll make it's way into the car by the beginning of the year some time. I'll keep you guys updated. And thanks for all the helpful information you guys contribute to these forums!

dose he have a skyline xmember? or a mount kit? if it's a mountkit that manifold isn't going to fit.

's the special gate. It has the race wastegate diaprahgm and valve but the housing has the same flange as the standard gate.

Yea its a HKS cast manifold without any adapter but its a 44mm HKS Racing Waste Gate with the 4bolt exit flange... I haven't test fit the motor in yet but by the looks of some of your guys motors i know i have a task infront of me.. As far as the mounting I have a R33 xmember but was thinking on using Mckinney mounts to bypass the driveshaft fitment and custom process, what do you guys suggest? And on with the eye candy

It's been taking awhile as well for I had to take care of suspension works as well.

Wire tuck on the injector harness

And the money shot...

the manifold should fit using the r33 xmember but it WILL NOT fit on a car using a mount kit.

Are you still running the stock injectors and fuel rail? What are your plans to upgrade those? I love the placement of the wiring below the manifold. It makes it look 100% cleaner without a wiring harness running across the top.

What fuel line size (feed/return) did you use?

How did you get the -AN fittings to mount on your valve covers?

Why is your alternator so shiny? Did you get it rebuilt?

I hope you aren't planning on putting that front end on your car. Like Kansei240sx said, that thing is art and should be hung on the wall over the fireplace.

You're giving me good ideas for when I upgrade to phase 3 of my project. Keep the updates coming!

I thought the mount kits made the engine sit lower and back farther, making more hood clearance. Am I completely backwards? I don't think I'll have any fitment issues because mine is going to be completely stock - any input? and Darious - got some free time this weekend? I finished up finals this morning and I have a 5spd swap and an RB motorset sitting in my garage

the problem with the hks manifold is that it relys on the 'dip' that the stock xmember provides between the motor mount and xmember.when using a mount kit this dip is nonexistant and therefore wont work.

unfortantly those are the stock injectors and rail but depending on money if I don't sum up for a EMS and Injectors I'm just gonna toss the stock turbo set up back on b4 installing.

fuel lines are -6 but I hope to do a beefy fuel set up for insurance but info on that will come after I make my pipe dreams reality.

The fittings to the valve covers were a job and a half. Story on that was I didn't want to weld fittings on b/c i wanted to remove them whenever i painted the valve covers and if i ever needed to replace em, so had to find a tap for the fittings for the openings on the covers. Problem was that the fittings were tappered and couldn't get anything to work, but after 3months of ordering taps i finally got it to work.

Alternator was just taken apart and cleaned, had alot of crap on the aluminum and couldn't look at that thing under a new greddy manifold.

The front end..I'm selling it, I'm keeping it for display, and I want to put it on..That thing was a bad choice. lol

Thanks for the feedback guys...

and Carl thanks on the info with the Xmember, looks like I'll be making use of my Solid Aluminum motor mounts I have

wire tuck is when you hide wiring, google it all showcars do it, its a ton of work but makes engine work (outside of wiring easier)

Ok, this thread should be finally back apart...again.

I recently had the motor up for sale (parted out) but I decieded to keep it (again). So out of fun and games I tore it back down to it's underwear.

I'm going to do all the goodies to this engine itself before I ever hear my RB turn on. So this thread will now keep track of my LOOOONG process of uniting my motor and car

Hopefully the pictures and any discussion will find itself usefull for others as reference, along with myself to gain much needed knowledge as i progress. Thanks All.
