Bingo, that's another reason I went 360 over PS3...because most of the people I intended to play online with had or were planning to purchase 360s instead of PS3s.OldmanPurdy wrote:I think Bmike means that his friends are on the 360 not the PS3, that would be my issue with multiplatform games too assuming I had a ps3.
lol.. well, this was before GHII was even out, i hadnt even bought guitar hero 1 yet. the party went lame when everyone joined the sewing circle and shared gossip for a good 2 hours. I myself, being a non-conformist and not caring about gossip, decided this was lame so i went to the living room and booted up the ol' ps2, threw GT4 in, and decided to see if i could do a gran prix while hammered. turns out that alcohol has no effect on your video game driving skills. prolly woulda been more interesting if i had a wheel tho... end lame party explanation.redtop91 wrote:GT a party game? Not sure why you would hate MS over this? Its not like its a 360 exclusive now. And its not like the FF series has ever been exclusive to any console manufacturer.joe603 wrote:I was shocked and awed....I truly hate MS. However, Squenex has a few cards up their sleeves. They will announce something that will be "big news" at their party in a few weeks...
I'm thinking that a FF7 remake on the PS3 would qualify.
Well you don't start off by pricing your damn console at $600. Friggin Sony. Only the people that were really looking for a blu-ray player would have bought your console (IMO).hershy67 wrote:Damn, not looking good for sony.
I laugh every time I see someone post comments like this. It's like it's some mystical unicorn that will never be, but they're determined to hope anyway.joe603 wrote:I'm thinking that a FF7 remake on the PS3 would qualify.
I think the M$ is the worst thing to happen to video games...ever. The XBOX360 "system" is nothing but a gaming PC that has an external PS. Developers have to make the games work without a HD because M$ is only concerned about cost and it's extra $$ for that item. Sony actually loses money with each PS3 because the HW technology is cutting edge. The worst is having a system use the same disk drive technology as the last generation; this is not a step forward for the industry.C-Kwik wrote:

Frankly, if you're gonna be mad at anyone over this, be mad at Sony. Square Enix was quite public about their displeasure with the price of the PS3 early on (and the corresponding sales). Given the money that they are likely putting into this game they need a big installed base to recoupe the investment and make a nice profit. I'd speculate that this might have brought them to the negotiating table with MS...or at least been a factor. Especially when you consider MS's installed base and the very relevant attach rates.
LOL...blame it on Square's "tech demo". I tried to play FF7 a year ago and couldn't get past the graphics. Granted I've played the game for about 3 playthroughs...each time playing long enough to beat all weapons.MinisterofDOOM wrote:

1: What's wrong with the original FF7? Why does it need to be remade at all?2: Of course it'll be remade. I'm not even an FF person and I can tell you that. Look at what Square is doing. They're going through the series one-by-one and remaking them. 7 will be reached eventually.
