Holger Schubert built a 10-foot bridge to connect his sports car's living-room parking spot to Tigertail Road. But, now, residents are complaining that the structure was improperly approved by the city.

My response if I cared to register with LA times:

Does it really impact your life so much that you have to btich and moan about what rich guy did what with his money?

Honestly, it's his idea of art, and art is a personal expression of freedom. Don't we have any personal freedoms anymore? His permit application was reviewed several times, for crying out loud... Maybe you complainers "need to get out more" yourself. It might help you get your own life to worry about.

First Paragraph of the Linked Story wrote:His pristine Ferrari 512 BBi "Boxer" sits in the middle of Holger Schubert's living room in Brentwood, right next to stylish furniture, a built-in bookcase and a flat-screen TV that slides on tracks past walls of glass that frame an ocean view.

It's because he isn't having someone drive him around in an old Bentley while he rides in the back and spreads Grey Poupon on tea biscuits with limp little wrists that his neighbors hate him.

An old guy who lives near my mom's place goes to work everyday in a Cadillac limousine. He sits in the back seat with his oxygen tank. I've always wanted to pull up and ask for French's mustard.
