My favorite would be production car based road racing.

What I meant by production based is not purpose-built race cars, but cars that rolled off the assembly line and were modified for racing. Like Speed World Challenge Touring Cars. Granted they aren't very close to stock form at that point, but they still have the same engine (only highly modified) and drivetrain layout they came from the factory with.

That's basically what GT racing is... well... at least the lower classes. The top class is the only one with Audi R8s and stuff. WRC is cool, drag and drift are cool, but I can't think of anything better than a good GT race.

I suppose "street bike" is to include all forms of sportbike racing, including MotoGP, the highest level of the sport, followed by World SuperBike, World SuperSport, and then divisions of AMA Superbike, supersport, BSB...etc

..street bike gets my vote.

Mark Lovell and Roger Freeman were part of the Subaru Rally Team USA. I dont think they were on the WRC circuit.

i voted for GT series cuz i only like racing with cars that resemble the stock version and the tracks have to have to be different. thats why i dont like Nascar, a lot of the tracks are alike and all the cars look the same. i also like WRC very much but havent seen it on tv for awhile cuz it comes on so late. i like the subarus and Mitsus (they are racing with the new evo now right?)

Any GT road race series, especially at tracks I've driven at.

I think World of Outlaws might be the most entertaining thing out there. WRC is very cool. AMA Superbikes is awesome. I don't like World Superbike competition 'cause of all those damn air horns.

WRC I think is the most interesting, enjoyable, and skilled race series. That goes for other Rally series' too (SCCA)

Yeah, Mark Lovell and Roger Freeman both died in the first stage of Oregon Trail in July. very sad. They went off the road and nailed a big tree, both were great assets to Rally.

That was soo devastating, those guys rocked. I think that's why I voted for WRC as the best racing though, it's soo dangerous, those guys really have to be good just to survive. And even still, that last accident proved that even the best of the sport can make a deadly mistake. Talk about heart pounding action!

Yeah those WRC guys make most NASCAR drivers look like Grandma on the way to the market for prune juice.

i hear that. yeah nascar is risky, but its onlyy because of speed. basically u are driving a car designed around you. to protect you from death.

WRC the cars are built for the event basically. they can change the whole car for each race, gravel snow mud street. but wrc cars a re built to be safe. just in different ways.they have to stay light, they just cant up hp to make up for weight. arent they limited to 300hp for rally cars?

I picked Indy because it was the closest to F1. If I could be a professional race car driver, I would want to drive F1 or CART. I think I might even like CART more, because I have some sick issues when it comes to turbos, and those turbo'd V10 CART engines are some sick turbo motors.

GT racingMy first race ever was at Road Atlanta. It was the Petit LeMans in 98 or 99. Watching it on TV doesn't do it justice. I was amazed how these cars performed. I sat at the end of a straightaway right before a s curve. Watching these cars brake from 150+ to 50 mph with their rotors glowing bright red was freakin awesome!!

I like F1 and CART too. Just say no to oval tracks!!
