Formula cars are amazing, being involve in college level formula car building makes me realize how much work, fabrication and engineering goes into just one car.

As far as my favorite racing series, anything based on production cars and non-oval tracks is my prefrence.

I dont like nascar for a few reasons, suchs as:-it hasnt changed in YEARS-Nascar's idea of a ford tauras is a tube chassy, pushrod V8, RWD car made in a race shop. And each year they make astounding advancments like adjusting an areodynamic plate a 1/4 of an inch.-It does nothing to advance street car technology, just advance the consumption of various sponsering beer and tobacco companies' product.-no matter how fast they go, it still doesnt change the fact that its a circle track, and all they do is turn left for 2 hours.

Hm..I long for the days when my dad would get free passes to Laguna Seca through work. I've been in the pits for just about every kind of racing imaginable that takes place at Laguna, from Historical, to World Superbike, to historical. It's no wonder I ended up being into cars :pface

F1 is good but pinnicle is a little high up. i see F1 being almost as boring as nascar, they just dont turn left as much. have u watched WRC, from the incar cameras??? its a lot different than F1 sure f1 is fast but this is asking what kind of motorsports u like to watch.

i guess to me Nascar is like basball > no excitement till somethings hit hardF1 is like football > plenty of hits but boring till some one gets smashed upWRC is like Rugby > its fun to watch them trry to kill them selves for money

Have you ever watched in car cameras of wheel to wheel racing? F1 is much more dangerous than WRC in my opinion. Not only are you racing right next to your oponents, your head is sticking outside the car. I like WRC more myself, but calling F1 "almost as boring as nascar" is rediculous. F1 cars have retina tearing acceleration, rib crushing lateral G's and neck snaping brake power, and the do this all on a track with pesky objects to run into such as walls and other cars.

If WRC = Rugbythen F1 = War

to each his own. but when wwwwwas the last time u sat and watched a whole F1 race? most people cant sit through them.

the reason that i say that F1 is almost as boring as nascar is because nothing happens till someone crashed, other than that its the same concept. yes the difficulty is there in F 1 that is not there is nascar, open wheels open coockpits, I just feel that WRC is deffenaitly is more entertaining.

I've sat through countless races of Formula 1 and when you say that most people don't you are wrong again. Most people do, just not Americans, more people tune in every F1 weekend world wide then Americans watching their Nascar all season long. It is the Pinnacle of all motor sports, why? Because there is nothing after F1, it is the top. Rally drivers have tried their hands at F1 cars and they're nowhere near as fast as the ones who are lucky enough to race them durring the season. As for WRC it is great and I'm a fan of it myself but it's not as exciting to me as F1, crashing is not part of racing cars, its keeping the car just barely under control so you can drive it as fast as you can, you want crashes watch demolition derby, or monster trucks.

i think that racing doesnt have a top level that it keeps going. I just dont belive there is a pinnicle for racing. sorry. WRC holds my interest more than F1.

of coarse the professional F1 drivers ran faster with their cars that they've driven in for years. what do u think would happen if the F1 drivers tried their hand at WRC racing? im pretty sure the professional WRC would do a little better on their own type of racing.

F1 cars are the fastest, most extreme cars of racing. To some that means the pinical of racing.

Like i said, i prefer WRC myself, but F1 cars go up to 225mph in races with other cars on the same surface and with many many different turns, slopes and surface types. WRC speeds would make a F1 driver yawn. You have to be in peak phyisical and mental condition to drive F1 because of the physical stresses it puts on your body. Not to mention their reaction speeds are so fast it is as if they know whats comming before it even happens. Imagin riding a steel track roller coster, making it go 4-6 times as fast, and then having to control where it goes. Between the vibrations, noises and G forces most people wouldnt even be able to steer the car in the right direction.

If I had the choice to be a rally driver or a F1 driver, I would choose rally because I would be scared sheitless to drive a f1 car.

nobody has to change your mind. It's just how it is, thats where the most money is and thats where the most popularity is, and more people know the name Micheal Schumacher then Collin Mcrae or Richy Burns, or Markus Gromhold put together world wide. Formula 1 is the pinnacle considered by the worlds top drivers, there isnt a series of racing above F1 now that's how it is in the "racing world" your world could be quite different, you like what you like
