Dropkick Murphys own. it doesnt get much better than "The Spicy McHaggis Jig". Beasties own too, they're the only band to have rap, punk, Biz Markie drunk singing benny and the jets, and porno music on the same CD.

can't limit it to favorite songs. favorite bands have to be linkin park, rage against the machine, audioslave, coldplay, and yes....i like a little john mayer, very chill when cruisin by the beach. as for rap it's all about shady aftermath and westcoast rappers: dre, em, 50, snoop, nate dogg, warren g, that group.

Rage is great, other than their insane conspiracy beliefs. (Wake Up is about how the government killed Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X)

its on the way, but the worst thing ever happened:

I saw them on MTV. Please dont make me go murder every single punk-skater kid that will now be into them.

Ok, fine, i'll do it.

or you could simply make them feel stupid and ask them "Who is Ian Curtis?" If they know that then they're all right

But yeah there will be alot of douches that will all the sudden be into Thursday

Who is Ian Curtis? The old guitarist?

I don't know the names of anyone in any of the bands I listen too, so I don't see your point (First time I saw Thursday you probably had no clue who they even were...I sure as heck didn't).

Thursday is on MTV, Boy Sets Fire's video just made it onto MTV2, and Thrice has been playing non-stop on the stations in New York...Hardcore/emo/punk is the 240sx of the music industry, it is what is going to get raped and pillaged next!

yup, there probably gonna get labled as the next "it"

I think I'm gonna don the leather and spikes, get a mohawk and go head butt some of these "punks"

first I should not dress like them though, but Chuck Taylors are so damn nice for driving:(

edit: I'd like to kill Avril Lavigne too, but in a creative way cuz I bet she's no Linda Lovelace...

i bought it today, very very good indeed, good way to put it, Thursday is the 240sx of music. luckily for me no one around here knows about them, and if they do know them, they dont like them because theyre so "metal", and thats fine with me. that sucks they were on mtv, their producers must be forcing them to promoting their stuff to get the execs richer (i hope). at least theyre still on island and not moving over to some JIVE bull****.

Ian Curtis is the singer from Joy Division. Think The Smiths, before The Smiths ever came around. He killed himself in 1980, but still was a major influence on Geoff(T-day's singer) and Geoff even wrote a song called "Ian Curtis" which was on their first album "Waiting" And it is one of they're best tracks. So if you ask a T-day fan, and they know who he is, then that person is OK, if not, they're not good enough to listen to Thursday

BTW I suggest you DL, "Transmission" or "Love will tear us apart"

I heard about Thursday when they just had "Waiting" out and loved it, then my friend told me they were playing near where I live, and I went, and they kicked my ***. Loved them ever since

Poison the Well, Darkest Hour, 7th & Locust, The Smiths, Joy Division, Coheed and Cambria, Thrice, Finch, I could go on like this for a while

BTW I highly recommend getting any Darkest Hour CD, and the new Poison the Well CD. The PTW is absolutely amazing

New PTW is yucky. I heard Darkest Hour is good...are they broken up though, cause the singer is the guitarist (or was) of Shai Hulud...which by the way could possibly be my favorite band of all time. Check them out.

Hopefully Friday I'm going into Philly to see PTW, Dillinger Escape Plan, and Further Seems Forever...should be an excellent show. (Too bad I'm gonna end up going by myself).

I'm suprised no one's said Further Seems Forever yet.* I love them, A Static Lullaby, The Drive, Beautiful Mistake, Matchbook Romance, and the Early November. Oh, and Days Away, Armor For Sleep and Beloved (NC)... Long list but I gotta include them all... :ylsuper PS - Of course Thursday kicks a-- too...

*Edit - Apexi, didn't see the post before mine. Enjoy the show!
