The best reason to leave a KA NA is for race classing, or for dd reliability.

yeah it is true. I have to admit, when i first got my s14, i wanted to go N/A. But the bottom line is the only way to actually make power and not spend thousands on small bolt ons that add up to nothing is to go KA-T I too am about to start my build and im way excited. Its not unusual to get 300 out of a built KA-T by any means. Do some searching and youll see this topic has been bled to death. SEARCH.

i'm looking to build a N/A KA.anyone have one for sale here?i'm looking to build one up this year. i did some research and not many people have really tried to build one all out. most of the stuff i have found so far are discussions on the feasibility of it. does anyone know if there is a crankshaft that will fit in the KA that has a shorter throw? maybe something that will make it into a 2.2L or 2.0Lany help would be great.thanks!

So far the injectors are stock and so is the manifold. I'm not boosting so there is really no need to upgrade the injectors. As for a manifold I am looking at getting that one custom unit but I can't remember the website, it was lik $500 or so.

Ah ha... here it is. See kids search button is your friend. Took like 20 sec to find.

Wow that sounds interesting. I might want to do that to my rebuilt kae and relocate the battery to add a custom short ram...maybe ka-t later. Are you going to use your stock throttle body or would you need a bigger one to complement the larger plenum? After reading a lil on that website, if i dont use the AAC then there needs to be an ecu tune or adjustment to the throttle blade, but is anything else needed or fine tunning to get it running properly or is it just bolt on?

I'm sure you could get your TB bored out but I'm too cheap to do that. My ECU is already tuned, done by JWT to compliment the cams and head work. I plan on getting a AEM EMS once I go KA-T. If you get the plenum you don't really need a ECU tune but hey everyone's car could use a little tune, it helps more than it hurts.

just for reference, you dont need a ecu tune to run without an IACV. On the intake manifold that i recently built my idle was actually far better without it.

Also, on my regular intake manifold i've rid all the vac lines except FPR adn brake booster. I dont have and IACV at all and it idles amazing.
