haha, thats awsome, bet that showed your teacher!

Ghetto: I'm not being insensitive, but your life can not really be that bad. Your problems are all not really that serious. Try being 18, and in your first semester of college, then having you mother(my best freind) die of cancer. That kind of makes your problems seen insignificant, huh? You should be glad that you have parents that care about you so much to spend money to help you, they could just say F-that, and leave you all alone. I think you need to settle down, and just be a kid, your 15, dude, you can't be drinking and smoking, and woring about girls. good luck, man, if you need to talk, IM me on AIM at drifts14boy

I hope nobody here takes this lightly. I can't imagine loosing a NICO friend to suicide when he's expressed his feelings to us. If someone admits thinking about suicide, that is a cry for help. Let's be there to help him.

Hey Ghetto. Don't do it man! No joke! I genuinely care. Listen to me... If you are serious thinking about doing something like that. Call me. 920-819-2271. Suicide is stupid. It's something people do when they don't have hope.

You are still young... and all the struggles you are going through right now are just a short phase in your life. They are "but for a moment". All things will change. You will have a great life, and you will look back on your youth as a good learning experience. It will give you character and make you a better person.

You have so much to look forward to. Have hope! You can do anything you want to do. Don't let things pile up on you now and make you think life sucks. These things will pass.

Don't waste a long great life by ending it now.

I'm serious as a heart attack about this.

If you need someone to talk to.. call me. If you are convinced that you are going to do it... give me a couple days warning.. .I'll drive out to CO and convince you not to do it.

Folks... Don't take the word suidice lightly. I don't care if you think you know Ghetto. I don't care if you think he's joking or being overdramatic. If you ever hear anyone talk about suicide publically, take it very seriously. If they are willing to admit to thinking about it.. they have spent a LOT of time thinking about it. Too many young people loose hope and think about these things and then actually do it. It's such a waste, and I will do anything to stop it.

And Ghetto a wise man once told me for every bad day you have, you will good or even great days to counteract for the bad ones. You just have to take it one day at a time and always look for the good in everything even when it is darkest you have to look for the light, even if it is a small glimmer it will get bigger and your life will get better.

Another thing to keep in mind (aside from all the incredibly smart comments that have already been posted) is to look around and see all the people who have it WORSE than you.

I thank God every day I have food to eat.

I thank God I can see the friendly faces, trees, birds, clouds, beautiful girls , cars (I'm VERY appreciative of my sight).

I thank God I don't have to worry about a roadside bomb, an RPG-attack, a suicide b0mber or hostile troops picking me off on my way to work.

I think God that I'm healthy, I can walk, I'm relatively smart, and able to choose my life's path.

I think God that people care about me - My parents, my kids, and my wife.

You have all those things as well.

p.s. Eikon, you are the MAN. Well-said.

30+posts and people are offering you phone numbers and AIM names to talk...that is a sign that you have people who care about your well being...does that not mean anything? Please don't take the easy way out ghetto...please...we are hear for you.

I know what it's like to loose someone to suicide. It hurts the people who care for you deeply, because it makes them think...why didn't i see this...when in actuallity, the signs were there all along.

On another note. Your decision to go to a military school is a big step, but if you are feeling down about your life...that may not be the way to go. I have heard stories about those kinds of schools, in that they are like being in actual boot camp in the active duty military's and for a 15 year old, it might not be what you want.

My advice....surround yourself with your friends, take up a creative hobby...building model cars was my favorite past time...get out and enjoy what life has to offer.

Ok, anyways, enough of this suicide talk. It's bringing me down

J/k. Anyways, don't do it. There is NOTHING bad enough to EVER warrant suicide. There can ALWAYS be something worse. Like greg said, look at the people that have it worse then you.

Oh yeah, I know I shouldn't say it, but I suggested that ghetto is suicidal in one of his threads awhile back

my best friend committed suicide on 9/11 of this year. There isn't a day that I don't think of him with anger, hatred, joy, happiness and sadness.

He called me twice Sunday morning between 2:30am and 2:45am. I can only imagine it was his last cry for help.

I heard the phone ring and didn't pick it up-- I knew it was him and I didn't want to pick it up!

You know who gets the easy out? He does! I have to live with that for the rest of my life... not picking up the phone!

suicide is so final! There is no apologizing for it, no making up for it.. nothing! Its done and that is it. Think about who you leave behind. Will they be able to make it through? If so... how well?

It is almost 2 months since my best friend died. And even with all his problems (yours seem so minute compared to his) he is still much needed in so many peoples lifes and yet he can no longer fill those needs.

That's great to hear Ghetto..

If you ever need help with advice or someone to talk to... remember your friends here at NICO. There are a lot of really cool people here who have been through the things that you are struggling with. We are here to help you my friend.

don't ever think it can't get anyworse.

it will.

I think this will do you good, you've got a lot of growing up to do.

remember, if you fail, you're failing us.

how's it feel to know you've failed someone who's counting on you?

oh, suicide if for whiny little ****s that can't hack it and think their life is ****. It can be better, but no one's gonna make it that way for you.

As generous as people are on here offering their help, this is a matter best left to experienced professionals.

Sounds like that day when my mom found pot, rhum, beer and cigarettes in my closet..

Worst is I was hiding half that **** for a friend haha..

Yeah....of course she didn't believe it..

Now though, I don't smoke dope, I drink rarely (Like...less than once a month)..

I don't smoke cigarettes anymore..

I wake up in the morning and I dont feel sick having to wake up.. I go to work, do my job the best I can..

The only thing that can help you feel better right now is the feeling of a job well done...so your school idea isn't half bad.

Like someone else mentioned, surround yourself with friends/etc. Or at least try to put yourself in a positive environment....military school may not be that, I don't know. It may help you straighten your life out, but more than likely, it'll probably make you realize you didn't have it so bad. Don't know, just somewhat of a guess/opinion.

@ least u are trying to make an effort in choosing a path...

i'm witnessing a 27 yo <lil bro> who's done NOTHING since high school.zer0 work history battling major depression & losing... he's got to stop using "i had a hole in my heart" excuse. he didn't smoke or drink... he did nothing all thru high school...

my other lil bro got sick of the houshold, got out of the parental units' home, & is doing a similar path of finding himself...

i'm glad i have 2 kids to keep my perspective on life. good luck, ghetto.

Alright.. Souds like you've made a decision to forgoe the military school. But, don't forego the reasons that you considered that option. You knew that you needed some order and discipline in your life. You can still get those things where you are now.

Even if you don't go to military school, you can apply the principles that you would have learned there to improve yourself.

1.) Discipline. Set goals for your self and work to acheive them. If you want to stop drinking/smoking, etc.... Set a goal for a date to drop those habits. Then work toward it and stick to it. If you want to start getting better grade. Go visit your teachers after school. Have them help you gameplan to improve your situation. They can help you set goals, and you can work toward those goals.

2.) Stability. I went to a seminar recently held by a man named Brian Buffini. He helps people get motivated to become more successful. One of his key principles is that you have to understand and seperate stability from success. So many people try to reach out for success before they stabalize their life. For example, investing in the stock market without first having health insurance. For you, work on getting some stability in your life. Forget the girlfriend, forget some of those lofty goals like owning the greatest Nissan ever made... Work first on getting stabile with your family, your schoolwork, and your habits and actions. Once you reach stability, then start working toward the next level.

3.) Spirituality. I'm not going to force my Christianity on you. But, I want you to understand that there is more to life than what you see before you. Man has an inherant need to seek that higher power. If you do, I am sure you will find hope and peace beyond what you currenly experience. So, spend some time thinking, reading, learning, talking, etc... check out the different organized religions and unorganized beleif structures. Find something you can beleive in and identify with. I garuantee it will bring you peace and hope and make life seem that much better.

hey, your only 15 years old. You have so much to look forward to. I can garuantee you that going through difficult times makes us much better people. You will be stronger for having dealt with all of this.

if you can turn your life around now, the future is limitless for you. Good Luck!
