actually the guy that i bought the motor from is goin ls1

its cool but for a couple thousand jsut for the motor it will get a lil pricy.

he wants it cuz he drifts and wants a big powerband

BTW your price range of 7k is that from scratch or do you already have some parts you need?

EDIT: can someone explain boost creep? (yes noob lol)

included in that price is a manifold setup i still have

normally this would take thousands more but i got a few good deals and know what im doing

boost creep is when boost rises higher than you want

Boost creep happens when the wastegate can't effectivly control the amount of pressure inside the manifold. So the boost level will "creep" up or even spike.

When you retard the timing ALOT you increase the EGT's quite a bit as well. Higher egt's = more manifold pressure = possible boost creep.

There comes a point when timing retard and adding boost become ineffective at a certain octane.

E85 is the answer to that.

just bought my z32 transmission and kit with 96# injectors will be here next week

i decided while the motor is out to upgrade from the stock size 10mm head studs to 11mm studs. the motor is now at my uncle machine shop waiting to be worked

this motor is super clean should turn out well

Incase I missed something what happened to the built motor in the ole red S14 that was totalled?

s14 is sitting on cinder blocks behind the shop couple misc things still on it

i had sold pretty much any and every part off the s14 i could to pay for the toys i have had and also a rental property i bought

the old built motor went to a local ka-t guy. for the price i got for it i didnt loose a penny and it had a few miles on it
