Fabio240 a scam

over a month ago i mentioned in a thread i was in need of an alternator for a ca18de. fabio responded saying he had one that he could sell me. i paid him $63 for a shipped alternator and the payment had been made on 5/11/10. Ive yet to see anything at my house. ive tried to make contact recently these past few weeks through email and phone. I never get a response. ive got my car running now but i still think his end needs to be met and return my money. Mods is there any help i can get on this one?

Im sorry you got scammed, but if I were you, I wouldn't just sit back and ask for help.

I would start by doing some research on your own. You have an email address and a screen name. If you are crafty, you can likely find a Name, location, DOB, and if you are really good you could probably find pictures, phone numbers, family, and lots of other dirt.

Do some legwork. If there is a trail, and you can figure anything out about this guy, then we can put pressure on him. But until then, we've got nothing to go on.

He's been banned until he contacts me. I hate scammers and can't understand why someone would try to rip for such a small amount of money. No matter what, it is your money and he should just give it back to you. So let's see what happens......

Because it had no bearing on what this thread was about. You wanna take pictures of yourself or whomever and want to just be seen, take it to the general chat section. What you posted did nothing for the original poster.

That was (from what I could find) a picture of "Fabio240". I posted it to see if the OP knew if it was him or not.

Its $63 dollars. not the most to lose but still its something. and when you live from paycheck to paycheck 63 has a sense of value. I met Fabio240 through boost-boys forum does anyones ca powered car function? he told me he would have it sent to me three weeks ago because the package had been mailed back to his house. It has been a huge mess. im not overly concerned but would like it refunded if he's reading this. I have my car in running condition. and its not a matter of my car anymore but as a trust factor. ive had a ton of help from nico and im grateful for everyones concern and help. This is a good forum but even the best seem to have there bad members.
