These came out of one of my motors. They are in good condition, I cleaned them and polished the crowns. The wrist pins are included and have signs of use you would expect. I do not know who makes them though and I am not interested in tracking it down to get the rings. As is to your door $130.00, U.S. only.

I might be interested, pending two questions... First off, Any idea if these are stock bore, or oversize(as mentioned above)? And secondly... I wont be able to pay for them untill around the 5th(my next paycheck). Are there any sort of numbers, markings, etc on the underside?

with the stock everything else, those pistons look like they're 8.75-9:1. Do you know what your compression ratio really is? I'm curious how close my guess is.

Without knowing the maker I cannot be sure. The crowns look like OEM so I would expect it come out in the low 8s on compression due to the slightly larger bore. With a cleanup pass on the head it should put it right at stock. The only real way to tell is to install them and take the measurements to figure the CR.

holiday+ military postal service= slow. I don't expect it to get here this week. I have already packed them up real purty though. Send me your address so I can slap it on the box and keep it in the car. When I check my mail and the MO get here I will turn around and send it off right there and then while i am at the Post Office.

Money received, pistons sent. They should get there in 7-10 days. In the box you have pistons and wristpins. You will need to procure rings and spiralocks yourself. I would recommend you let whoever you get your rings from look at the pistons so they can get you exactly what you need. The side clearance between the ring and the grooves is important and the rings must not stick out of the groove in the piston. The source you get your rings from will be a crucial guide here. Enjoy them and we expect some writeups on the engine.

did you ever find out what kind of pistons those were? I have an exact same set i just pulled out of an engine....and im thinking about using them.

By looking at them, would you think they would be fairly decent pistons? Mine are in excellent shape, so i want to use them in my build.

any info at all on them would be greaaat.

my block was dropped off at my builder yesterday, along with my crank, pistons, rods, girdle, and mains. i gave him the bore measurements i got from themad, which were 83.92-83.95 and we measured the clearences and they were just about spot on for what most piston companies recommend, and he's purchasing the rings for me. im getting everything back balanced, hot tanked, bored, and shaving the deck for straightness, he's also buying my rod bearings and main bearings. everything for $250+parts at cost. i cant wait to get it all back and start putting it together!

almost identical to those. Wierd how they arent stamped.

let me know where your builder sources the rings from, i need some too.

The pistons are 40 tho over. There are 2 overbore sizes available which range from 83.5mm (20 thou over) and 84mm (40 thou over).

is it safe from a performance aspect to bore them out that far?

yea, you only lose ~1mm of cylinder wall, our iron blocks can handle that no problem, just make sure you get your **** balanced.

How much are new OE pistons, and are they for the ca18de, and you just grind out oil squirter reliefs in the skirt?
