so now is the question, i THINK tomei pistons are for a straight up 84.0mm bore. i found this website with info on CA18DET tomei pistons. But im were still not 100% positive they are tomei.

http://www.ooparts-internation....html

but heres the real question, should i go back to the machine shop and tell them to bore the block to 84.0 instead of 83.92-83.95. i would like to know this ASAP so i can go down there before they start drilling.

and about the rings, i can tell you exactly what im using once i find out. my builder is measuring the grooves and buying a set of rings accordingly.

and if anyone is interested i have OEM CA18DE pistons with rings, they are either 10.1 or 10.5 compression, i'll let em go for a reasonable price.

TMS is in Japan. He can get CA18DET OEM pistons, AKA, correct compression, correct oil squirter relief.

I am almost positive they are not Tomei pistons. Follow whatever advice your machinist gives you.
