extra wires

i finished my sr20det swap and i have a bunch of extra wires with connectors on the end...can i just take those wires out to clean up the engine bay up some? and also when i turn the key on engine off the check engine light doesnt come on...is something not plugged in? or will the light come on when i have the jdm cluster? because i have the usdm one in right now? thanks

Wait until you have everything working properly before you start removing unused plugs.

I'm still working on my wiring so I don't have an answer for the first part. Maybe you can help me with something.

if your engine is running good no problems then it wouldnt hurt to rid of those extra connectors..was the check engine light coming on before you had your swap done? you probably dont have something plugged in but you really dont need the check engine light to come on do you?
