I agree 100%, ive been driving for 6 months and ive placed second out of 17 at a local competition.

its really all about seat time in a close course where you can push ur car to the limits, get and give ride alongs from more experianced drivers and compare notes and be open minded to trying new ideas. and if you dont understand wtf the person who is instructing you is saying, tell them to repeat it. get people to video your runs, pay attention to what you are doing wrong and correct it.

yea, coilovers, welded diff, and 5spd, over my shocks/springs, open diff, auto........ if i hadnt screwed up so bad on my last run i would really be interested if the outcome would have differed.

if your car is properly equipped with drift goodies, your chances are you will be more successful then someone with a stock car. but on the other hand a stock car can also do better then someone with a good drift setup just based on the driver. keep that in mind.
