Thanks for the info. I think I actually gained weight with the Stillen, but I didn't actually weight anything - This is just my perception from lugging the pieces off and on.

If so, it makes any HP gains non-existant.

Down the road I may pick up either the Tanabe or the GReddy. I wish GReddy had some solid numbers on weight - I couldn't find anything.

Sorry to keep this tiring thread going, but I need help choosing an exhaust system. I just bought a new coupe and I'm new to the forum. I searched the forum first to try and find the answers I'm looking for, but no such luck. I have it narrowed down to the following systems:

Borla Cat Back - Great sound, but I don't like the lateral muffler look.

Artisan - Great sound, but worried that it would be louder than the one on your turbo. Also not crazy about all the welds. Doesn't look as nice as the others.

GReedy Cat Back - Nice sound, but worried that it's way to loud, even with diffusers in, and price. Definitely like the look, though.

I was wondering what kind of power gains I would get from each system. Does anyone know of any good deals on the Artisan or GReedy systems? I'm kind of leaning more towards the Artisan, right now.

Thanks.

No need to worry about the GReddy being loud. Keep the silencers in and your fine. It is also tested to be under 93db which is street legal.

I went with Artisan. Price was a major determining factor. I picked it up for at least $300 less than GReedy. I couldn't pass that up. Now if Turbochargers.com would just finish making it and send it to me, I'd be a very happy man. Hopefully, I'll have it soon.

I finally got the exhaust and installed it. I still have to tweek it a bit to get the tips centered. Wow! It sounds sweet. It's a little louder than I thought it would be, but it sounds awesome. I'll try to make a video soon. I'm putting on the G35 spoiler right now.

How do you post a video on here?

Awesome, thanks for the video. Was that on a cold start? It sounds a lot different than mcheddadi's Artisan exhaust video, a little raspier, but nice nonetheless.

If its possible, when you get a chance, can we get some drive by or fly by videos? Thanks.

No, it wasn't a cold start. They sound pretty similiar. The little bit of sound difference can be contributed to a couple obvious factors. My video was recorded farther away, from inside a garage and the camera was not on the ground. It was also 95 yesterday. It was obviously colder in mcheddadi's video. All those factors will change what it sounds like. The biggest being that my wife was standing in our garage.

I'll try, but it will probably be a while for those.

Yeah, I agree that those factors play a role in the sound, but I didn't expect it to be that big of a departure from Mehdi's video. So, any luck on those other videos?

Not yet. I only got three hours sleep today, so it's early to bed for me tonight. I'm off tomorrow, so I'll try to make them then. Should be done about this time tomorrow.

My girls 08 3.5 coupe has the nismo catback exhaust on it. It sounds pretty good and her car doesnt even have an intake on it yet. She still wants it louder. She likes the Greddy Ti-c exhaust.

Louder? Maybe when the racingline y pipe comes out she can add that on for a better sound and some nice gains.

Heres an 05 3.5 w/a racingline y pipe, won't sound exactly the same but you can get an idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-MRrQDJ44Q

not my car but found this on youtube awhile ago and came across it again. looks to be a custom fitted greddy (evo2?) from previous gen altima. i like it. i wish the sound quality was a little better. sounds like an a modded se-r to me.
