EX35 Nav Questions

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Have a new 2010 EX35 and am still learning the Nav System. Like many folks I am having to adjust from Garmin logic to Infiniti logic in working the system. At this point I have 2 questions;

1. When saving a location, the Nav System initially saves it by the address that you program in. When you rename it i.e. "Grandma's House", it replaces the address. How or where can you re-access the address? (It doesn't seem to show up in "Place Info" )

2. Also, when you save a location, you can enter a phone number while you are in "Edit" mode. However, there doesn't seem to be any way to access that phone number (like going into the phone book) unless you go into Nav address book "Edit" mode again. What am I missing?? (Note: On the Garmin, you can call directly from the map screen.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Dean,
Thanks for pulsing folks on this. I have talked to my Infiniti dealer and they didn't have any suggestions. I am beginning to think that there is not a solution/answer to this with the current Navi software.

Another feature of the EX35 Navi that we have found to be very inconvenient is how it locks out your ability to search while driving. My wife & I travel extensively and are used to having the passenger search for various stops along our route. Since our Navi won't allow this, we have started taking our Garmin along on trips which is pretty redundant.

You can install a switch that would allow you to have FULL Nav functions while the vehicle is in motion. If you have a DVD player, this will also allow you to watch DVD's on your front Nav screen. Let me know if you have any questions.
